This class is a pass/fail class. Even though this class is an easy A, I must say that taking this class was teaching myself. He doesn't respond to emails & doesn't help you with anything you don't understand. It's like you have to figure it out on your own. I had to contact the department so he can grade our work since he's not involved. Beware!

Comment:

Only good thing about this class: it's an easy 1-Credit (helpful when you are trying to graduate.) Super outdated material, w/links to websites that don't even exist anymore.. it feels like I was taking a course from 2005 or something. Class was so easy I forgot about it sometimes. It took 16days for Tim to reply to an email I sent. Boring.

Comment:

If you need a one credit course but don't want to overwhelm yourself with it, take this class! Using the Internet course is a breeze. It's pass/fail but everything that he wants is given to you front and center. If you have a problem, he will accommodate! Class with multiple assignments is 200 points, 150 to pass and I got all 200!

Comment:

BEST CLASS EVER. Connecting to the FIU Unix Server can be a little tedious if you are not at FIU, but other than that pretty smooth class, Prof. Walker is very flexible. Great experience, requieres some attention, but not overwhelming.

Comment:

First of all: "You experience may differ". Course by itself is not really hard, yet the problem is with the professor himself. What you get is: basic reading of book, quizzes from book, some project and absolutely useless professor who is impossible to reach (Response time is around 4-5 days. That's without the fact that he dissapeared for a month)

don't believe the negative reviews on here. when you need prof walker and you email him he will respond. this class is easy exams are tricky. and the website design project is cake. easy A

This class doesn't need an instructor. First of all, he is impossible to reach, he is rude when he does reply to messages, doesn't facilitate communication with other students and just copies passages from the book as his questions (you don't even need to think, just find the exact passage). Seriously, get the book and don't bother with the class.

online course,it was a bit difficult because I am not a computer science major, nor computers are not my passion.Walker is not a bad professor but he doesn't clarify anything or even help you. He is very bold and dull. Assignments were simple, but exams were tricky. If you're not passionate about computers, take this in person, not online.

Took this online. Super duper easy class. Tests are ridiculously easy. Sometimes the prof takes a long time to answer emails, but overall its a great class.

Love the class! Assignments are fun and the teacher is great. I do find the exams slightly hard.
