Comment:

This professor, although a very nice person, seems to be quite unclear and come off as a bit harsh. There are multiple occasions where she is unclear with directions and when you ask her questions she makes you feel as though you're not smart. It also feels as though she doesn't want to see you succeed, which makes this class that much more tough.

As a professor she could do better. Stats are not easy &she doesnt go out of way to change that. The papers are 20+ pages. Even if you go to office hours it doesnt help. In office she told me my paper was good just make a few changes, I did and still failed the papers. Sooo many people fail her class. Take stats with anyone else.

Dr. Shore has a personality that you have to get use to. At first she seems rather intimidating but the longer you have her that more approachable she is. She by far one of the best professor at PLU!

Comment:

Professor Shore was amazing. One of the best Psych professors PLU has to offer. Statistics is a daunting subject to begin with, but she's incredibly approachable. It was still a difficult subject, but if I had stayed in the psychology department it would have been largely in part due to this professor.

Probably the best teacher I have ever had. I have taken hre STAT 232 as well as PSYCstats 242. Show up, pay attention, take good notes, and ask questions. In these classes we really didn't even read the book...they were just there if we thought we could figure out something more clearer..In short, her lectures are great, doesn't grade too stiff, an

Dr. Shore is one of the smartest ladies I know, a great student of human interaction and development, and curious about life and art and culture. She is a rich and wonderful individual and I still count her among my best friends--some 20 years since she forced a choice for the path less travelled. Miss you, friend. I trust happiness is yours.

She always helps when needed, and although see seems intimidating at first, she is a really nice lady. Her class for stats was no where near as hard as the evil prof I took the first time. I like her teaching style and examples she give. They really helped me keep my head above water in stats.

Dr. Shore makes class fun and interesting. Very straight forward and to the point which I love. You can tell she likes her subject area which makes class more enjoyable for the students.

Comment:

Dr. Shore was a great STATS professor. The class was challenging, but not such that anyone who tried couldn't get an A. She was great at answering questions and breaking down all the terminology. STATS is an important class to understand as a PSYC major, and thanks to Shore, I got it, and still remember how to use it (which is really the amazing part).

One of the best professors I have ever had. She is very caring about her students and is there to help with any problems. Also she is a great contact after graduating and keeps her eye out for good job positions.
