She tries to help students but often ends up either roasting them about a mistake made or leaving mean comments on papers. Her comments mocked my paper instead of giving me good feedback. She also grades papers tough as well as a lot of the assignments being hard to understand. She's very rude but does care about her students. Don't take her

Douthit was an awesome professor. She lets you know at the beginning of the semester that her class will be top-heavy in reading, so you are prepared for that and can boost your grade by reading. She is tough, but your writing will improve A LOT after taking her. She gives great, lifelong advice. Also a lawyer so she gives good real world advice.

She's a rude lady who grades super tough. She talks down to her students like they're incapable of learning. She'll give feedback and when you apply it she tells you it's wrong. If you get her, I would switch out of her class.

BEWARE!! Honestly, the worst teacher I have every had in my life. No office hours for extra help. She is the toughest grader ever, She re-read my paper and gave feedback 3 times and told me it was great, but I ended up getting a 70 (the lowest paper grade she gives). She should be fired and never teach again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. almost made me cry when I answered a question wrong. extremely rude and condescending. assignments are extremely vague. Will not answer questions you have. Very tough grader. few quizzes, and you can use your textbook. but they are 10 minutes long. accepts assignments late. She must be one of the worst professors out there

This teacher made my life hell. If you want to coast through a writing class, dread attending class every day (even though it's required), be talked down to daily, told what to think, and learn nothing, this is the class for you. Her class and papers aren't hard, just unimaginably boring. I wish I had switched out when I had the chance.

Teacher is a very harsh grader. only bonus to class is she lets students redo assignments, but the need to redo assignments would not be there if the assignments were not so complex and difficult in the first place. We are college students LEARNING writing for professions, we do not know it yet, she needs to relax.

she expects work to be done like student is a professional business person. BUT her quizzes are wicked easy, straight from the book, and lets students re-do and re-submit work for a better grade. in hindsight, i would not take her class. she was verrrry boring and kinda mean.
