Comment:
Prof. Goldman was a great professor. Sometimes the lectures were kind of dry and at other times they were interesting. I took him once a week so the lectures felt like they dragged on. Otherwise, very interesting and informative class. You only have 2 exams and one paper (which is easy). You get a study guide and a review session for the exams.

He is very lecture heavy. Only grades were 2 tests and a group project (paper and presentation). As long as you put in some effort and participate he will like you and work with you towards a good grade. An easy A in my opinion.

Goldmans class was engaging and he was highly respected. He prepared us for exams, took the time to give in depth feedback after presentations, and more importantly shows that he cares for his students. Only con is that I never knew my grade the whole semester, he has yet to learn canvas lol... hes pretty chill and grades fair! Easy going guy!

The class is basically all lectures, which are kind of repetitive but not too bad. Grading system is terrible, only 2 exams and worth 100% of your grade. No wiggle room to improve your grade. To get the grade you want, you really have to read everything and come to all the classes, and you might have a chance. Consider looking elsewhere first.

He lectures a lot and is old school (he hands out tons of papers). There are 2 midterms and a group project (presentation and 10 page paper). Its not too hard, but the tests are kind of ambiguous. Honestly he repeats material a lot (you'll hear about Theory X and Theory Y a LOT). Overall not too bad and you should be able to get an A.

There are hardly any assignments from which you are graded, so it makes it tough if you screw up on any of them. His lectures will take up the entire class period, even though it could definitely be condensed to 1 hour per week instead of 3. Doesn't use Blackboard hardly, which is annoying, and shows up late alot. The tests are pretty easy however.

Terrible. waits till last class to give quiz in attempt to make u show up to pointless lectures. Course extremely unorganized. Doesn't respond to emails. exams aren't bad, but study guides are horrendous and doesn't give much guidance/structure. doesn't post powerpoint till day before exams.

Goldman is a very kind, interesting professor, 2 exams, 350 points each. 2 presentations, 200 points total. Maybe this class is very easy for the native student, but I think it is a little bit hard for international students because you need to read a lot!

Grade is 45% midterm, 45% final, 10% one pop quiz he leaves till the very last class to manipulate students into going to his otherwise pointless class. As long as you goto his in class review before both tests you'll get an A, he gives you most of the actual answers and curves heavily

Goldman is a class act. He comes from the east coast and is proper in his manners and attire. His approach is, I'm not handing you information, there is a two way street to learning. He will give only if you take, meaning-participate, be engaged and you will be fine.

Alan Goldman is a really great guy. I have to be honest and say his 3 hour classes can become a bit exhaustive, but that's not really his fault. I certainly don't agree with him on everything, but he is respectable, and encourages dissenting and outside the box views. Study for the 2 tests a couple days before hand and attend class, you'll be fine.

Dr. Goldman is an outstanding professor. I had him for two three-hour classes in the same day and I enjoyed his classes very much. He is very Theory Y and willing to work with you. He's also very friendly and helpful as well, inside and outside of the class. If you pay attention to his lectures, notes and studying aren't even necessary. A+

Goldman's the man, do yourself a favor and go to all the lectures, and if you're in one of his three hour classes make sure you stay the whole time :) He's the head of the MGT department and just wants everyone to pass, he's super nice and understanding too. He's a very theory Y kinda dude.

Wonderful professor. Very knowledgeable about his craft, and you can tell he wants to be there to teach you. One of the few teachers who seems to really care about his job on the campus. His class seemed to always run long. Assigns a group project, but is manageable. 2 total class presentations for students. Lots of textbook work. Loved the class.

Great professor, very understanding and easy to work with. He does not like to use online systems for anything except email so be prepared to attend every class to keep up. If you show up, do some of the reading and pay attention, you'll get good grades. Tests are not hard if you keep up with the material.

Good teacher however, he rambles a lot, tells the same stories over and over, and then words the tests really difficult. Half the test you end up asking yourself is he meaning it this way or that way? The actual material isn't difficult to understand though. There is a group project and little group activities in class.

Professor Goldman is one of the best professors I've encountered at Arizona State University. He is well-spoken, engaging, and his lectures are applicable to real life situations. I truly enjoyed taking his course and would recommend him to any one of my friends.

Really enjoyed this Negotiations class with Professor Goldman. He gives you a study guide with 10/50 exam questions already answered for you. There were two exams and there was one team project. He's very predictable. Show up to class and read the books he assigned - easy A for the semester.
