He was one of the true examples of a professor, due to many reasons: His PowerPoint lecture slides and his lectures are excellent (and he even gives them to his students to study). In addition, his quizzes and his exams are fantastic (and he even reminded his students what topics could be on his quizzes and his exams).

Furthermore, he answers every single question his students asked. Also, he mentors the students' finding aid projects extremely well. Finally, he gave students plenty of extra credit opportunities to improve their grades. As of a result, because of him and this course he taught, I will changed my career to be an archivist at Brooklyn College.

Stale subject matter. Class involved copying power point slides. Copies of power point were not made accessible to student body.

Class was pretty simple. First half was classroom lectures and powerpoint presentations. After the midterm, you actually handle materials and do some archival work. Attendance is a must, the textbook isn't really necessary if you take good notes.

Comment:
Archival Studies is a good class if you are detail-oriented and organized. The class is half theory and half practice by physically processing a collection at the BC Archives. The papers, tests, and project were relatively easy. Prof. Cucchiara is very clear and to the point. Easygoing and understanding, but definitely means business.

Great Professor, one who didn't get by on his rank as a professor and wasn't afraid to get his hads dirty. He treated us as adults and gave us all sage advice. Taught me a lot.
