awesome teacher...tests weren't that hard but you do need to spend enough time studying for them. the whole social psychology of leisure as a class seemed extremely pointless to me...kind of a waste of time. really good teacher though...very nice and helpful!!

I loved going to his night classes, he always had interesting group assignments. The Tests wern't soo hard, and the group project wasn't as well.. A nice guy, A+ in my book!

Didn't really teach anything. Had a lot of guest speakers. When we didn't have a guest speaker - he would just quote straight from the textbook. Always went real fast on his powerpoints - not enough time to copy them down - expects you to read the textbook. Very easy tests and final project though.

Really nice guy...Really terrible teacher (at least for this class). I'm pretty sure he never actually taught us. You learn by reading the textbook and listening to the millions of guestspeakers he gets. He's really kind of lazy. I personally hated the class and can't wait to get out.

No longer are the tests floating around. There are two major tests which require hours of studying. I'm an 'A' student, and these tests could be extremely difficult at times. Easy assignments in class and outside of class. Attendance is somewhat important. Make sure you study for the tests!

Sex class. Ok, the class isn't all that hard, but it's not all that easy either. The tests are somewhat hard, and you must study for them. He goes through the book with you on exam review day and tells you what to highlight, and what he says to know is on the test. It's pretty similar to his review. There are a few easy assignments with EC too

Not as interesting as it sounds haha It's an ok class, not hard, but not too easy either. Takes attendance, but get out early almost every class. Many videos & guest speakers. Tests aren't as easy as one may think. A few hours of study time is needed for tests & some easy HW assignments. I recommend him & this class.

MUST attend EVERY class bc he gives out hw and makes u do in class work. exams are NOT THAT EASy, study the diagrams for the first exam & definitions. must buy the book ($100). i missed ONE day where he assigned hw and gave an inclass assignment, putting me 20 pts down the drain. i shoulda taken dance or music

Leaves the reading up to you. instead has class exercises to make students more familiar with the material. However, this makes the midterm and final a little hard because the information was not lectured on! Also had writing assignments at the end of every class to keep up with participation and attendance. Fun class but study for the 2 tests!

Great class! Lots of fun topics and interesting information. He tells you exactly what is on the exams and as long as you show up it should be an easy A. I agree with the others, he's HOT! Wish I could have gotten some personal tutoring from him!

This class was very easy and had alot of useful information. The teacher is great and very easy to get along with. Be warned though, the first exam has alot anatomy diagrams and definitions, so make sure you study, don't be tempted to slack off just because the class is fun. Great upper level elective for any major.

The best upper level class you will ever take. It's an interesting, important, and an informative class - but it's also easy. If you show up to class and make an effort, he notices and takes it into serious consideration, even if you don't do great on the exams. Take this class!

Shaffer is the coolest teacher ever! He makes the class fun, and interesting, and he tells us exactly what we need to study to do well. So if you come to class, and study hard I guarantee you you will get an A. This teacher is so cool that I want to hang out with him. You really should take this guy, you will love him! He is also HOT!!!!

i love this class. i def recommend taking it for an easy A - there are only 2 tests adn they arent that bad at all- they are just anatomy. the class is fun to go to, and reading the textbook is like reading a Cosmo mag. it's great

Very easy class. Everyone has the exams. If you don't have it...its matching and multiple choice. You do nothing in class, but the exams actually test you on things! Esp. Exam # 2...so just make sure you know someone who has taken the class b/f you...and that the exams havent changed!

Very entertaining class. Fun discussions and group interaction. Never keeps you on the entire time of class. Watch videos alot. Takes attendence by collecting in class assignments. Extra credit is easy. Midterm and final have changed so some studyin required.
