Do yourself a favor and avoid this class. Test or a quiz every single Friday. Words questions on tests and quizzes very poorly. Extremely tough grader who takes points off for everything. I thought that I could see past the reviews on this website and give him a try but that was a horrible idea. Avoid him at all costs.

Unbelievably arrogant and condescending. Tests seem relatively straightforward but you can expect to consistently receive at least 20% lower than what you had expected. He takes off points for every single minuscule mistake. DO NOT take any class with this horrible professor. Avoid at all costs. You're better off not knowing what it's like.

When you ask for help he makes you feel very dumb for asking. His tests are extremely hard and he's a hard grader on top of it. For the test he words things very confusingly. There is either a quiz or exam every Friday and it has a lot of hard information you may not have even learned yet.

His weekly quizzes are nearly impossible if you dont read every chapter of the book on your own. Also tests get harder and harder but he wont tell you what is on them to help you.

Unfortunately until now I was on track for a good cumulative GPA. Came into my senior year with 3.4. One of the most arrogant, pompous people I have encountered in 30 years of living. I have traveled the world, and even my enemies had more respect for others as humans than this man. Expect to have little to no credit for partial answer 50% or not.

HORRIBLE. Pompous and will take any chance he can get to put you down and make you feellook stupid. Just because he is experienced in his field he believes he is almighty and far superior to you. Will take off tons of points for minute errors. He is not interested at all in helping you pass. Avoid taking him at all costs.

Great teacher, Very hard exams, takes off a ton of points for small mistakes but gives partial credit even if you don't have the right answer. KNOW SIGNIFICANT FIGURES AND KEEP AN ORGANIZED LAB BOOK.

Great Professor. Homework is optional but if you do it makes the quizzes seem simple. The lab is basically free points. Tests are challenging but not too bad if you study. There is no reason anyone can't get a B or A in this class. Don't be scared, he is a great professor, but challenging. Not nearly as bad as a lot of people are making him out as

Awful professor. I really do not understand why the university still has him there; arrogant, unhelpful, crazy expectations. Something is wrong when the overwhelming majority of your students have a D average or below.

Horrible Professor, very hard to understand. He will give one example and only finish it part of the way and tell you to finish the rest. Lecture slides are very little of what is on the tests and quizzes, which are extremely challenging. Very hard to get even a C in the class.

Contrary to what many people have said here, he is a fairly nice guy and helpful, depending on the circumstances. However, he Expects you to know every little detail, his expectations are outrageous compared to other courses. Good luck getting an A, or even a C.

This man does little to help students in class and office hours to understand the material. He is arrogant too if you are struggling to understand. The powerpoints cover the bare minimum of what you need to know for a quiz or exam which are extremly ridiculous. He knows material but he can not teach. I am not a Chemistry major, he assumes you are.

My experience of Wilcox is nothing like what most of these people have posted on here. Yeah, the guy is hard. The subject matter he teaches requires it. Go to him for help if you need it. He will absolutely bend over backwards for you and pretty much always has a smile on his face.

One of the best professors I've had in Bloom U. He really knows his stuff. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO ADMIT YOU NEED HELP! USE HIS OFFICE HOURS! The material is hard at first, the more you get into it the more it all makes sense. He uses a lot of analogies that help too, READ THE BOOK READ THE BOOK READ THE BOOK! studying in groups helps A LOT! Good luck.

Hard teacher. Do not take. I went to him for help and all he said was "as my syllabus clearly states you have to spend a minimum of 10 hours a week studying outside class just for the possibility of obtaining a C.

hard class. i thought it would be easy since its not even a pre-req for anything. he knows the material, but cannot convey that to the students. he makes the material seem like child's play, like its so simple a monkey could do it. tests are hard(he likes #s). he asks very detailed questions on quizzes and tests.asks ALOT of true/false questions
