Nice man, wrote the text that's required for the course. That turns out to be the problem. Every answer you give in class is expected to be quoted from the text. There's no room for ideas that fall outside of the text.

This is a very easy class if you need writing and an international credit. Take it online and it basically stays out of your way except for the 4 concerts and 3 tests. The other assignments are incredibly easy and don't take time at all. Professor Hoffer is hard to reach though if you have a problem.

I took the online portion of the class because it included the gordon 6000 words. This CLass was REALLY Easy. The test were the only hard part, 48 % of your grade.I didn't study for the test and got B's. You will get 100 percent on everything else. really good class for the words. as long as you write the paper you will get full credit.

just started this class and OH MY GOSH is it expensive! this guy requires you to buy everything he publishes (NEW) and the class itself costs an extra $40 to take. this is crazy!

His tests are hard... he asks you insane questions as if you were a music major. If you read the book and prepare well for your test or get with a group you should be fine. Do all of your assignments!! its easy and u do become familiar with songs (become a more well rounded person) yayz! ^.^! u could get dangerously close to an A- (I am!)

Really sweet professor! He always replies promptly and helps you out when you need. If taking online, MAKE SURE YOU WRITE DOWN DUE DATES! He grades all assignments VERY easily, but the tests can be somewhat challenging. Make sure sure you study and listen to all music. Fairly easy to get an A as long as you complete all assignments. I recommend.

Online class is a pretty easy A. DON'T miss any assignments (it will come back to haunt you) and do OK on the online tests and you'll be fine with an A or B+. Hoffer is a pretty nice man so if you have any problems, he'll answer promptly and be helpful.

Great class. It is really easy with the exception of the tests. It is an easy way to earn 6000 words. I would suggest for someone to take this. He gives great feedback and is very easy to get a hold of if you have problems.

easy 6000 words gordan rule class...it's online and do the assignments whenever u feel like b4 the deadline...go to 4 concerts and write a paper about it...very easy...tests are online so u can use ur book for it...recommended for an easy A

Extremely easy. Easiest Gordan Rule (6,000 words) I've ever taken. The only time I ever put into this class was to see musical concerts, write a few papers (easy) and open my book ONLY at test time. If you want an easy A.... please take this.

I LOVED THIS CLASS!!! The homework is a CINCH (Few concert reports that he gives you credit for if you did).. Tests were super super easy. Easy A Class if you take the Online one with him!

i took the online class. no need to read or do anything, just use the book for online tests. should listen to the music from each chapter because a lot of it is on the tests. also must take the practice tests because has some of the same questions. he is an easy grader on the concert reports and stuff. clas was decently easy just some work

The only problem with Hoffer is that he's so old that he doesn't know what it's like anymore. He's out of touch, but still thinks he knows everything about music in schools. Poor nieve old man.

Old teacher. Means well. His exams are brutally hard, but if you always attend class and write good essays, you should pull off an A. His Listening to Music book was great as well.
