Dr. Schroeder is an amazing professor who does not get enough credit for his work. Although it was hard with covid-19 he did his absolute best to make the class easy to learn and way less boring. He welcomes any answers and makes you feel comfortable even if you are wrong. He knows the students by their name and always makes you feel welcomed.

Like with any math class, you want to stay on top of it and not get behind. However, this guy gives you as much slack as you need and will help you out whenever you need it. Good and funny lecturer, draws great visuals which is very helpful for understanding the content. Very personable and friendly.

Prof Schroeder is an awesome teacher and he makes even the most boring classes a little more fun. He makes really good jokes, and just overall he is a nice and funny guy. If you have to take calculus, I would suggest taking it with him!

This professor misled me into thinking that I got a passing grade, then failed me. This is a huge NO from any teacher! Do not take him if you want to know your grade and want to pass.

Chris was absolutely amazing--I was able to come into his office almost every day for office hours and he was very patient and great at explaining the material. Absolutely hilarious, and cares about all of his students so much. He taught me so much about math and also about dealing with failures. 1000/10 would recommend.

Be ready to write quickly. I had a slower paced teacher for Calc 1&2, and when I first got to Schroeder's class it felt like we were going a million miles an hour. I got used to and ended up preferring it to my previous Calc classes. He can draw the 3D objects VERY well so you can really get an idea for what is going on. Great class.

Showing up for lectures are important. As long as you do, you'll pass. There is a decent bit of homework but as long as you do it, you'll be fine. He grades tests very fair and it helps the students. Very funny guy.

He has so many resources available. He's very specific about what his quizzes and tests are over so studying is easy, he allows extensions on homework, he has a great review session at the end, and he has all his lectures available online if you need to look back (these are a lifesaver).

I'm a math person which makes it easier for me, but he is a great teacher! Probably the best professor I had this semester. He does give a lot of homework, but it helps a lot. As long as you do the work, you'll do fine. Offers help if you need it, a great sense of humor, and a really nice guy!

This teacher taught me calc 2. I got a D in the class. The material is hard he tries to teach it by giving lots and lots of examples but the examples are more difficult and confusing than what he puts on the test. HIs tests really are the st couple problems in each section of the test book. The easy problems homework is webassign online tht klld

Dr. Schroeder is an interesting guy. I would suggest going to the non-mandatory time in the lab on Fridays. It is really helpful if you need any clarification on the homework. I would highly recommend taking his classes if you have a strong basis in math and don't like classes with fluff.

I had this professor online. Lectures were very clear and homework and quizzes were reasonable. For exams he gives a study guide of questions. If you work the problems in the study guide multiple times you will do well on tests. If I had questions, I went to his office and he was very helpful. However I did not open the book once.

Second time I've had Dr. Schroeder, this time I had him online. I would say the class is easy, but I don't want people to think that it's an easy 'A', you have to put work into it. His online lectures are clear, short, and to the point. Even for an online class, he's always there to help. All around great guy, and I'll take him a 3rd time.

Dr. Schroeder is easily one of the best math professors at MSU. Don't get me wrong though, the class isn't an easy A (unless you're good at math). He doesn't have a standard attendance policy, but you do take daily quizzes, so coming to class is recommended. Very friendly, good sense of humor, highly recommended!

It was a lecture class twice a week. He basically just modified his online version of this class. If you wouldn't do well online, don't take him. He doesn't teach much, it's videos online that you have to watch outside of class time. Nice guy, not a fair teacher.

Make sure you do your homework in advance and don't get behind because it is hard to catch up.Did not do nowhere as well as I wanted but it was my fault.Make sure if you work especially 3rd, that you are able to download Hawke on your work computer or take a lap-top with you.. Re-taking him and buying me a lap-top Awesome teacher

Warning do not take him for Linear Algebra. He might be able to teach Calc classes but he can not teach liner. It was confusing and knows it but does not do anything about.
