If you want to spend hours upon hours and work your butt off to barely get a B, this professor is the one to take! He'll tell you your photogrpahs will be an A but then when he grades it he'll give a C - mid B.. And his excuse will be he was probally mad because he was tired of grading papers..

Awesome professor! Be prepared for lots of lab time, but you will learn a lot. Explains everything at the beginning of the semester so no surprises. Overall good class and professor!

compassionate towards students. in photography class, there will be lots of time in the lab! but if you like phtography this shouldn't be a problem and he will explain this to you in the first class. I enjoyed his kindness.

Dr. Baird is a great teacher who is always willing to help his students succeed - but won't do their work for them. He'll make sure you leave the class with the knowledge you need to be great, and that's hard to find these days.

He's a good teacher and knows his stuff. He does pick his favorites. I've noticed ppl that slapped their photos together got much higher grades at times than those that thought it out and tried to execute it correctly. His grading scale is very strange. And God help you if his Grad Asst Nicole is there, she's treats you like you're in pre-school!

this man is great! His powerpoints are a bit dull, but his tests are fairly straight forward with no essays. The class is time consuming, but it's almost impossible to fail if you turn in your stuff.

Learned a lot but his grading style was strange. How do you get participation points for a class that everyone does their own work? I think that he picks out his favorits in each class and tends to give them better grades.

Dr. Baird is an extremely awesome teacher! I learned a lot in his photography class and I'd highly recommend that anyone interested in photography should take it. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time in the lab developing pictures. While this is a trial and error class, it was definitely my favorite class.

Awesome class, he is helpful if you ask him about your photos. The tests were the hardest tests Ive ever taken. But as long as you do good on the photos and paper you will do ok.

The photography class isn't easy but if you ask him about a picture before you turn it in he will tell you exactly what he likes and doesn't so you can fix it. He has a very unique sense of humor. If you sit and actually talk to him he is very good at getting to know you and is more willing to be lenient on grading.

Total Magoo...Tests are rough. The guy didn't show up to give his own final and wouldn't answer questions after the tests even by email. He does make the class fun and he is funny in his own unique way. I think he grades inconsistently and that pisses me off, but what can you do? Fun class though.
