Mr.Colvin is just an awesome professor. He is such a great person with a great heart. He is willing to help everyone. Very very very good professor. I took him in maymester he was great. He always made time and went to the math lab to help people out who were still in need of help after class. Awesome Professor and Great Person. I Highly Recommend

Fantastic professor! I highly recommend him. He's hard of hearing, but he's incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. He's often in the math lab and will one-and-one tutor you if you are in there at the right time. I had to work for it, but I got an A relatively easily. All of his test questions are from the homework, and he'll drop tests. Take him!

Prf. Colvin is a very funny person with a great sense of humor. He often jokes before class and is always willing to help you whenever possible. Book isn't needed but recommended for studying since all the test questions come from the MyMathLab. He's a bit disorganized when giving the lectures but it's nothing that he can't clarify if you ask him.

He is an amazing teacher! I took him for Algerbra. When I took Trig and Pre Calc the next semesters, I actuily went back to his website to print out his notes he gives to the class. He is so carring and fun. He cares about the students who care! I would take this Prof. for every class possable! More than willing to help anytime with anything!

Funny, smart, caring. I had a hard time at the beginning. He does not check your homework so you don't have to do it, but it is extremely recommended to pass the tests. I felt that I had to teach myself a lot, but he helped the class out during tests by giving hints if you go to his desk to ask. Overall he's a very sweet person.

AWESOME TEACHER!!! He is one of the best teachers i have had in a long time he will do anything to help you succeed in his class. I took him for summer I for College Algebra and i suck at MATH but i made an A in his class...if you do the Hw you will def make an A on the test because the test problems are straight out of the Hw problems. TAKE HIM!!!

Very sweet guy. Has problems with his hearing; this interrupts with hearing. Teaches the material, if you put little effort youll pass easily. No effort and you might barly pass. Overall a great choice.

Mr. Colvin was soo nice! He's a pretty chill teacher. He gives you all homework assignments on the first day of class, but you dont have to turn them in. It IS very helpful though that you do them because his test questions are mostly the homework problems!

Comment:

Colvin is a great and very understanding professor. For the math class before algebra he had very easy test that had prob out of the odd homwork problems. He has handouts that help alot. Any issue with anything and he will help. I would advise others to take him if they have trouble with math.

Professor Colvin so nice! I took College Mathmatics during a Spring semester and it was very easy going. You have a lot of easy in class work so it helps to balance out the test (test comes from odd problems in hw but hw not required). You can leave early or skip a few classes and be fine. Only need book for odd hw problems. I made a B! Easy!

Professor Colvin was very nice, but he let his class get to him. He would not make his students behave class became unruly at time. So many of them talking to each other you could not hear him. All his test come straight out of the book. IF you done the home work you will pass his class.
