I went to the first day of his creative writing class, expecting an actual creative writing symposium. Whoa, nelly, that is not what happened. By the middle of the class, about one half of the students had left because of his overbearing demeanor and the enormous coursework load. I dropped it immediately, and I'm a senior in English.

Martinson likes to talk, but he is a very easy A! He always has a very good attitude about teaching. If you are looking for a challenge, he is not the one to take English from-- Would recommend him!

Contrary to what most people have to say about Martinson, I really enjoyed having him as a teacher. If you would ask for help, he would help you. Anytime that you needed someone to read a rough draft, he was there to read it. I even have him next semester as a teacher .. definately recommend him.

This is the worst teacher I have ever seen. He skipped class more then I did. He talks about something off topic and wastes the class. had us write a 10 papers that he "lost". When I asked to see a grade he couldn't give me one and then 2 days before the final he came up with a random grade of a C.

He was the worst teacher I've ever had! He never gave papers back until the last week of the sememster and then the class average was a D! He didn't give a grading ruberic and somehow once I complained to go to the dean, my grades went up from D's to B's but then they were lost mysteriously...hmmm..

Mr. Martinson was quite tough and liked to pick my papers apart. He liked my writing style, though, so I ended up getting an A. The course improved my writing skills so I can't complain.

This guy is SO WIERD....but he's a smoker, so he goes to get "water" alot. Most classes you have to write a ton...this guy? 3 papers all semester...he gives you SO much time...and he grades increadably easy...
