Mediocre at best and messed up my grading. If you do take EGR150 take it with someone else. The class isn't that difficult though, but she isn't the best at teaching people who may have forgotten how to do certain things like sigfigs.

I did not like Ortiz. She was not a good teacher whatsoever, as everyone else in my class agreed. When using SolidWorks, she really had no idea what she was talking about and had to have students show her or had to wait for another teacher to come help. I reccommend taking Eddington if you want a good drafting teacher, even if she's strict.

Fantastic teacher! I can't understand why she doesn't have a perfect score. I'm sure the students who rated her poorly have dropped out of school by now, because they didn't lift a finger if they made less than a B. Assignments can be turned in late, she's highly knowledgeable, and she's a complete sweetheart. Do take the class if you can.

Mrs. Ortiz is a great teacher. Her material is hard but she explains everything step by step on how to do anything she teaches. I think she is the best teacher that I have had in the Engineering department. I would recommend her for any class she teaches. If you come to class and pay attention good grades are pretty easy to come by!

Mrs. Ortiz is a great teacher. She is so helpful and easy to understand. She likes to talk, but it is always fun to listen too. Anyone can see that she loves her job. She can be a little hard to get in touch with, but just let her know you are coming to her office hours and she will be there.

I had Ortiz for a couple of courses. She is very smart, but never talks down to students. She listens first to determine how to address a students question. Teaches right from the book and spoonfeeds those that need spoonfeeding. She was very kind, helpful and conscientious.

Great teacher. Very flexible and easy to understand. She will work with you if you need it, and explain things in full. The assignments are easy even if you do not have any experience with CAD programs. The book is easy to follow. I highly recommend this course.

Mrs. Ortiz is a great instructor, she is so nice and very helpful and knowledgable. She love to give homework but never takes it up for a grade, which is good for those who want the practice. If you come to class, she will do anything to help you. In general, one of the most sincere people I have met. She can be alittle long winded.
