This is a great teacher. I had him a few years ago and I found him to be funny and knowledgeable. Once in a while he would be asked a question and come up with a far fetched answer and when someone would question his answer he would say "I don't know what I am talking about...go and read the book". I learned a great deal in his class.

great teacher. very interesting class. his test can be a bit tough sometimes. we had a test every class. he gives you a list for every chapter of about 30 names, places and occurances that you have to memorize but will only test you on 5 or so. if you really like history you will really like this class

Any one who is really interested in history and wants to hear a great and fair interpretation of it, take Dr. Ruhnke's class! He is by far the best history teacher in the sarastoa area. His knowledge of the world comes from experience and that is key in learning! He makes this class as easy as possible and if you don't get an A you deserve an F!

a good and knowledgeable professor, even though he makes subject a little boring. he is old, and has a lot of first hand experience in his subject, lol. make sure you put as much info. as you can on his tests. the tests are not that bad as long as you know the list of terms and ppl he gives you beforehand. he also gives you a copy of the final!

Easy class. No tests, no papers to write, no homework. Just 15 quizzes that are all definitions AND he gives you the list of words to study! I took western civilization in high school and this class was 10 times easier. I highly recommend him

Nice man, a little weird with some of his comments, but overall a great teacher. He really knows his stuff, and I think the only reason he has a bad rep. is because lots of idiots in the classes cheat and get caught. If they'd just pay attention and stop being such dicks maybe they'd enjoy the class instead of ruining it for everyone.

Great teacher! He gave us an outline for each chapter at the beginning of the class. Know the points on it and you will get an A on every test, even if you dont actually read the chapter word for word. His lectures are interesting and suppliment the text well. An enjoyable class as long as you stay away from the stupid punks in the back row.
