Dr. Breton cannot be spoken more highly of. He is one of those rare teacher who truly just love to see students learn and grow. He is by far the most intellectual professor at berry as well. His knowledge base is beyond required to teach any course. Hes always available to meet with you as well as respond to emails quickly. Great man with great

Pros: Wonderful professor who makes Organic interesting and fun. Very helpful resources Great with office hours Corny dad-humor Cons: Lecture stays behind the lab --- Take Dr. Breton if you can. Read the chapters, re-copy your notes, and ask questions. He won't hand you an A, but if you make a bad grade in this class it's on you.

Dr. Breton is the best professor Berry has. Organic is rumored to be a very difficult class, but it was one of my easiest, and also kind of fun. there is no math, so if General Chem was a problem, then organic is a lot better.

Great teacher, excellent explenations. He's always willing to help at any time. Always in his office and always answers emails (nights and weekends too). Tough class, but replacing the lowest test grade with the final helps. No curve, so beware and be careful.

Dr. Breton is truly enthusiastic about the subject, and even though he isn't used to teaching non-major (i.e. simplified) Chemistry, he doesn't talk down to us. Save your money and don't buy the textbook--I only studied his notes and managed to make an A. I wouldn't say he's easy, but he is crystal clear and willing to help.

I love Dr. Breton! I was not a Chemistry person at all before and I actually really enjoy this class. He makes it fun and he knows what he's talking about. Plus, he's nice to look at even if you aren't paying attention to the subject.

Organic II was a really tough class, a lot harder than Organic I; however, Dr. Breton really tries to help every student in the class do well. He let us replace our lowest test grade with the grade we got on the final, and this really helped me. Lab was fun and overall I enjoyed the class, but be prepared to work really hard.

Comment:

Berry has been blessed with some quality professors in the chemistry department. Dr. Breton taught the material in a fashion that was fairly easy to comprehend. The tests were not too difficult, and the lab and homework grades allowed me to get an A in the class. The only problem that I had with the class was that it was at 8 in the morning!

Despite the early class (which I have now sworn off completely), Dr. Breton is a great teacher. DON'T take this class if you prefer that "teach yourself" crap. He is great as a lecturer, if that's what you need (like I did)!! I really feel I learned a lot from him.
