Comment:
Extremely intelligent professor who knows his stuff at a very high level of comprehension and is able to explain complex concepts in a way the average student can understand. Attendance is mandatory and everything that is required to know is in the lectures. His examples and directions are very clear.

I liked him a lot. Material can be difficult to comprehend, but he does make a huge effort to help you understand. He's a nice guy, very funny I really enjoyed his teaching style. However, there were very few things that we were graded on so if you don't do well on one thing, it's harder to raise the grade with others, attendance isn't mandatory.

Comment:
The material is difficult, but he tries to explain it clearly and does a pretty good job. His exams are difficult, and I found myself freaking out over them, only to find that he is not a harsh grader. He understands that it's hard. I wouldn't go out of my way to take another class with him, but I can see why someone would.

He really cares about his student. Linguistics is not an easy subject, but he tries to make it as clear as possible and goes step by step. His exams are not easy so you have to pay attention!
