Comment:

Prof Stessel is a very kind hearted. He talks about random things in class and will test you on them. Very boring class. He will give you a reading quiz every week and then explain the book AFTER the quiz. I do not recommend.

I took professor stessels class and it was the worst decision I have made. Life got in the way the semester I had him and he was not accommodating at all. Would not let me re-do any of the assignments. He only cares about his class and nothing else. Highly do not recommend him.

Laid back English Class. Mr Stessel Is a good professor with a good heart. Makes class interesting with his knowledge and humor. Quizzes, Mid-term, and a Final. Take his Classes !

Tests are literally your only grade. He will tell you the test is on Wednesday and you'll show up Monday and have to take the test you are not prepared for. He always forgets what he taught the previous class so he will reteach it all over again. Extremely boring lectures. He makes so many Bible references and even makes you go out and buy one.

Awesome guy, laid back class. A lot of these other reviews say he is a tough grader, but he's honestly quite helpful. This was a 3.25 hour night class, and he made it a lot more enjoyable than I was expecting. Also really knows his stuff. Take this class, you won't be disappointed!

Had him for intro to film. Easy class, really nice guy, a little past his prime though. He picks mostly old movies, but they're pretty good. As long as you watch the movies, pay attention to his rambly lectures (I never even took notes), and go to class. Easy grade and you get a lot of insight to film critique.

Seeing really horrible reviews of him lately. He doesn't seem that bad. He's a funny guy and seems to call on everyone indiscriminately after every video for their thoughts. There will be a lot of red ink on papers when you get them back, but that doesn't necessarily mean a bad grade. My paper was inked all over and got an A-. Really not that hard.

If you see Dr. Stessel on the course, take it. You won't be sorry. This guy lives for his classes and he could make a very boring subject seem interesting. This guy loves taking tangents, but they always seem to relate back to what he's teaching. Get ready to buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Had him for Intro to Film. Funny guy, but he rips apart papers. I'd defintely recommend having someone edit your paper before you turn it in or he'll mark it up. He will randomly call on you if he thinks you didn't watch the movies so keep up. I'd recommend him.
