Homer is great! He is a really nice guy. Also, if you do not have an assignment on time he will still accept it and sometimes he just forgets. He likes people who write straight forward and you can easily reason with him. On our final paper I convinced him that mine was so good at 4 pages that adding more would ruin it and he said ok. TAKE HIM!!

Comment:

Homer is a STUD! By far the best teacher I have had at Drake. He gets you to challenge ideas and topics that people would not normally touch on. The class itself consists of writing summaries and papers that he grades with a good deal of criticism, but its positive criticism that he uses to influence and push you to think past limits. Great class.

He is a great professor. You will learn alot. Grades assignments quickly, with a great deal of constructive criticism. He may come off a as a bit of a jerk at times, but he really wants you to learn. Highly recommended. BEWARE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO B.S. ON HIS ASSIGNMENTS!

Great professor and an easy class, I can't believe that some people didn't like Homer. I hate history classes but I took both classes taught by Homer just because they were so well taught. And, so what if he doesn't show up for class on occasion, that's excellent, what more could you ask for?

Homer Hill is the****. He is the coolest teacher ever and his classroom is a fun experiance that every Drake student should have. Highly Recommended and Drake should hire him full time. The negative comments on here are from an "****" student prolly who got a bad grade in his class becuase he didn't do****. Overall. Homer is the man!!!!!!

Disregard all the negative comments about Homer. He is amazing and Drake is really missing out not hiring him full-time. The negative comments stem from one person who probably didn't do well in course. Homer is passionate and realistic.

Was a summer course that only met for four weeks. He cancelled class a few times, did not respond to e-mails and would let class out half way early. I don't think we met for more than half of the scheduled time. The textbook has more personality, class, tact and dignity that Homer. AVOID- He is a horrible example of aprofessor and a human being.

He is horrible. He is rude, arrogant, and just a butt head. Cancelles class, makes you watch DVD's outside of class, thinking that we have time to get together between class (Because there are only two sets of the videos). AVOID, he is compltely bogus. All talk about how helpful and easy to contact he is, but then doesn't follow through.

It's funny how people get on the computer and whine, classic Big Baby Syndrome. Homer has been a consistent driving force in the plight to discover true history. It's sad that as young adults one hand must always be held in order to learn. He missed a few classes, the world won't end anytime soon.

Homer, is a great professor. He is one of those professoes that get you to think about things that other professors are for lack of better words scared to even dare and ask their students to think about certain academic discourses in regards to African American History. Hire Hime full time.
