Comment:

Reeher is a good choice for this course. She cares about student success more than most professors. There is a weekly quiz and activity, 2 bigger assignments, 2 exams and a final. Her lectures were very good and kept me intrigued. My grade suffered due to lack of completion of assignments.

Took COM100 fully online through zoom. Amazing instructor, Professor Reeher is very good at her job! Show up to class, do the assignments, easily pass with a good grade. Attendance was done through "Qwickly."

Comment:

The course became an online class essentially last minute. Wasn't the best, but certainly wasn't the worst online course I've taken. Put your best effort into all of your work and stay on top of deadlines. She'll know how much you put into assignments and group discussions. Ask questions when you need help. Also have a Netflix account on the ready.

Nice in class, but Professor Reeher will not score you above a D unless you go to her office hours regularly. Her office hours are only an hour and a half per week, so plan to work entirely around her schedule. Don't take this class unless you're fully dedicated to spending hours and hours working on each essay, just to get scored poorly.

This professor is definitely one that you want to take. All online tests and quizzes which means that you can use the textbook. Lots of things make up your grade and her teaching actually makes you want to attend class. Gives you something to look forward to through the boring teachers one usually gets.

We watched a lot of tv shows because it was a part of the class and it was honestly a great way to start off my day at 9:10 AM. This is the easiest class you can take. There are weekly online quizzes (15Q). All tests are online. There are like 4 papers but nothing longer than 3 pages. There a few pop-up in-class activities. She's funny, kind, and very open minded. Accepts diversity very well. Need to boost your GPA? this class is the answer, so long as you sign in every day

Professor Reeher, seems to care a lot about your ability as a student. She is not trying to make the course complicated, you just have to put some work. You are graded on 3-4 papers, and have a quiz weekly. She also gives you extra credit opportunities. Definitely recommend her especially if you are just trying to fulfill a GEN ED.

Jessica is a tough grader but she cares about her students success. Put in the effort and ask for help and you will pass. If you BS your papers, she will know and you will get mediocre grades. If you read the material and put effort into your writing she will notice.

She introduced in the first day of class that you do not need to come to class but meanwhile, going to class is 150% part of your grade. Tries to be cool but her poor attitude ruins it. Seems very annoyed when you come to her for help and kind of brushes you off like you're just wasting her time. Don't take this class for an easy credit.

She's funny and a nice person. She gives a good lecture and is interesting. All of the quizzes have answers online as long as you look. Show up to class because there's a written either single or group assignment in every class that makes a difference to your grade. The papers seem easy but she is a tough grader so do rewrites when offered.

Shes so rude. She isnt understanding at all and wont give you any second chances on making up work besides the rewrites. She acts like she relates to us and tries to be bubbly but when really shes a tough grader, and she doesnt care to actually help her students.

She's got a good personality but as a professor she annoyed me a lot. She assigns childish papers, for example: "What's your favorite thing about this class?" but then grades them SO incredibly strictly. Stricter than my upper-level English courses. Also, she prides herself for not giving you a quiz over Thanksgiving but she gives you a paper?!

She makes lectures fun because she is a great speaker. She grades harshly though. The one thing that I didn't really like is when I was SUPER sick and missed 2 classes, I gave her a doctors note. She took it and said thank you in an annoyed tone, and then took 30 points off my grade.

Comment:

Professor Reeher is one of the only professors I've had in Oswego that I didn't like. She is very unapproachable, unhelpful and almost gives you attitude when you don't understand something. On top of that she is an impossible grader. I usually get A's and B's on my papers and I struggled to get C's in her class.

Comment:

She truly cares and made an effort to know all of her students. If you need help simply ask for it from Jessica or a TA and you will pass. Her lectures are not boring and they make you want to listen. Don't buy textbook you won't need it. Online quizzes are simple and she goes over material in class. Only 2 papers, everything else is online. easy A
