Comment:

John Colombo's class is a class that makes one hate math. What he says, what is on the board, and what is on the test are all three different things. He's hard to talk to cause he will insult you if you give a wrong answer. It's more likely that you will learn by slamming your head against the text book then going to his class.

Comment:

Professor Colombo holds a tough class even though I had him for Math 4. If you aren't in class a lot, he will call you out for it. Tests and quizzes are short and usually pretty difficult. Very rude, I would never take his class again! Also, has hearing aids and can't hear anything so you have to scream if he asks you a question.

This man is rude, if you don't have a strong background in Math I do not reccommend him at all. He is rude, and curses at the class constantly. If he gets a problem wrong and you correct him and shake it off and say it doesnt matter. What?! It does! He doesnt make sense whatsoever. Good luck if you have him, go to the tutors in LRC they're great!!

Better get a back bone, I know that is harsh to say about a instructor but this man is a jerk, who brings up high school teachers, how stupid students are and how his method is the best method. I oassed his class with a A, but only because I have a background in math. D8ont take him and if you are already in his class go to the LRC they can help.

Colombo IS THE MOST TERRIBLE MATH TEACHER AT PSU DO NOT TAKE HIM. He laughs at students when they don't understand which makes students feel stupid. He made this one girl cry (no lie, no exaggeration) because he constantly yelled at her to repeat something on the board she was confused about. I wish would've look at others rating before i took him.

Colombo is a tough teacher who is easy to butt heads with but he means well. If you need help I suggest going to LRC and getting help there because in class he doesn't explain things well in class. He expects you to know what your doing and to read the book to learn then in class will give examples and kind of review the information in the book.

Terrible. He does not explain things well at all. If you don't understand a concept, he will likely yell at you, or single you out and make you feel stupid. I believe he means well, but he just blows through things as if he doesn't want to be there. He certainly knows what he's doing,but he doesn't know how to teach it. Avoid this guy at all costs.

i feel bad because he's a nice guy and is still teaching cause he cares, but for me, he was hard to understand, he would make mistakes and he wouldn't catch them all the time. His method of teaching was too boring for me because he just copied problems from the book. I don't recommend taking him for students who are bad at math.

DO NOT take him for math 21!!! Super hard and unclear about everything. Has the weirdest ways of teaching that no one understands at all. I dropped it and so did many others.
