If you want to succeed in the course, read the chapter beforehand and always attend the lecture. Any questions can be brought to the TAs. The course is easy and fun once you get the hang of the problems but be sure to pay attention or else the class will be boring and you will be lost. Attendance for lecture and discussion not mandatory

Great professor! Attendance and discussion are not mandatory, but I recommend going because the material can get a bit difficult. The first half of the class is pretty easy, but then it gets harder. There are only 5 homework assignments that are graded on completion, 2 midterms, and a final. He provides a study guide with everything on the test.

first midterm is really easy, everything after that is hard, but not impossible. you must get the book for homework and for further clarification. he can be a confusing teacher. five homework assignments that is graded on whether you complete it. DO IT. Don't worry, you'll do fine as long as you do homework, study book, go to class or discussion.

Up to the 1st midterm, the class is super easy. After that it gets a bit more difficult, but nothing terrible. Show up to lecture and you'll do good (even if you barely pay attention). Lecture and discussion aren't mandatory. Theres a few homework assignments, 2 midterms, and a final. Book is only needed to do the 5 homework assignments.

easy A. Lecture is not mandatory& I found it unnecessary to go bc his ta's Greg and Will were much better at teaching the material in section. To get an A you just need to go to section, office hours and review the hw (the test questions are almost identical) hw is graded on completion, not tough grading on exams, & he gives ec. Dont buy the book

Just go to lecture, do the homework and don't mess up on the test to get an easy A. Book is useless, discussion was not mandatory, but I went anyways. Gives 2 extra credit assignments and there are additional ones on the exams. 2 midterms, 1 final. Ended up with a 104% with no studying.

Went to a few lectures and 0 discussions and got an A+. The material is not as easy as you would think but all you need is the book to learn it. He is a great guy too and pretty good at teaching (from what I saw at the lectures I did go too). Good class to boost your GPA but don't miss a HW assignment or screw up on the exams.

Do the study guides thoroughly and keep up with the work because you can fall behind easily if you don't understand the concepts. I thought he could've been clearer and I recommend taking LPS29 before this course but he's good overall. Definitely make sure you are understanding the material b/c you can fall behind easily. Do the extra credits.

He is extremely nice with extra credit. He is very clear in lectures. The sample problems for exams are exactly like the ones shown up on exams so study those. If you attend lecture, there is no way you cannot get an A. Take him!

I took this class to fulfill my Category V GE. Prof. Kai is enthusiastic and clear. The class was overall easy. He gives sample problems before each exam. Study those; the actual exam format is pretty much the same. Also, basic logic is something you'll need, so it was a useful class. Might help if you're going to take the LSAT.

He is very funny and down to earth. He presents what is important and what isn't. However, he tangents a lot and sometimes confuses you to as what is important and what isn't. However said, he provides clear class and his tests are understandable.

Class is very straightforward and easy so long as you attend. He often repeats examples and points over and over to the point where it may be boring, but you will know it. He offers enough extra credit to raise your grade 8% (extremely generous)and provides you with reviews for both the exams that are spot on. He doesn't try to trick you.

Clear and helpful. Attendance is not mandatory but he make it easy to understand. Easy way to check off quantitative GE. 2 mdtrms, some HW, extra credit, and a final. I put an average amount of work in and got an A+. If you are good at math this class is a breeze. If you aren't, it still isn't too bad if you can understand material inth first 2 wks

Class is kind of unnecessary because he teaches straight from the book, including examples, but it is pleasant to look at him. I enjoy the class a lot, though the subject matter is difficult to wrap your head around.

The class is not hard but he is sooooo boring. He knows how to explain the material but if you ask questions he will not answer them, instead he directs you to the TA's. Also, he makes his students feel very dumb.
