Great professor, cool and pretty awesome actually. I think he knows a lot more though as every political scientist does. Go into office hours and pick his brain and see what he know and help him get smarter, he is very smart and very helpful. He's awesome! Take his class!

Ken was a great proffesor. On Halloween his kids came to class, they were so cute. He's a very knowledgable proffesor who knows his stuff. I enjoyed his class alot!

Interesting lectures, but he rarely follows the powerpoints. Its important to have a good TA who re-explains the things from lecture that might be on the test, because he definitely doesn't give many hints. However, his review questions tend to be on exams. He is really hard to get in contact with, since he takes a while to get back to you.

Goldstein's a great prof, I only went to class about 25% of the time because I worked, but wish I could've gone more. I read the text and was fine, it's the studying for exams that really matters in this class. Definitely recommend him & will be taking a class with him again.

I love this guy. Best professor I've had at UW. An interesting and funny lecturer: tells great anecdotes, brings his kids to class, tells jokes, answers people's phones, etc. I actually look forward to lecture. Class isn't hard at all. Read and go to lecture and you'll be fine. He clearly cares and is very knowledgeable about the material. A+

This was the single best course I took at UW. He is a charismatic and gifted professor - with a total command of the material. The secret to doing well in this course is reading all of the material carefully before class, going to class, taking notes in class, and studying before the exam. The exams test the material he teaches. Do that: Get an A

Ken was a little inattentive to PoliSci 467 because it was election year. Class got cancelled a lot of times and we didn't use the expensive textbook for more than a lecture. That said, Ken is extremely knowledgeable about what he teaches and is pretty clear about what you should expect on tests. The final project was a lot of work but graded easy.

Ken's a good teacher. He's very fair and straightforward. The class is not difficult as it seems that most of his students get a B or AB... it's just really hard to get that A.

Smart guy that knows a lot about politics. He puts all the lectures online for you to print off and follow. The class is pretty tough but he is really clear about what is on the tests and wants you to do well. Make sure you phone is on silent if you don't want him to answer it. I got a B in the class without doing the readings but they are helpful.

Goldstein was an interesting professor. If you like Politics, you'll enjoy the class for sure as i did. He gives u practically the whole test in review sheet form, and his review sessions were extremely helpful. Its easy to prepare for his exams, and they're pretty straight-forward

Ken is smart, funny and comprehensible but a bit full of himself. Most test questions taken right from lecture. Readings are dull but he takes few tests questions from them. Short answers are easy but mult choice are very tricky. TAs can help a lot. Wide grade distribution. (i got AB) Don't fall asleep or let your phone ring in class.

Great professor! Humorous and engaging during lecture, keeps you awake for power lectures. Tests are hard, but reading textbook and the readings isn't absolutely necessary. Top scoring section on each test gets invited to his PERSONAL home for a home-cooked meal. No final exam. Great class, GREAT PROFESSOR! Will definitely take him again if I can

I definitely recommend this class. Readings are long and time consuming, but not necessary to do well. Lecture notes can be printed off before class. Prof. Goldstein is a little into himself, but who can blame him? He's a great professor, very energetic, funny, and keeps his students interested.

very smart man who knows his stuff,makes material pretty interesting in lectures (must go to clasS!!!)found my TA matt to be very helpful.HOWEVER,his tests are VERY Hard. I went to every lecture, every disc., read all the readings, saw my TA/Prof., studied for 25+ hours and got C's on the tests! good lecture, not-so-easy grade.

I really like that he puts the power points online before the lectures so it's easier to add other notes. He really goes over the material well and indepth. Oh, and he tends to make fun of people and DON'T let your phone ring in class...he'll answer it and talk to the person

Very informative teacher, taught me a lot so far, tests are VERY hard and even if you study as much as 12 hours, you are likely to at best get a high B. He knows his stuff, but also knows that he knows his stuff. He is a witty person and very clever. Kept the power lecture interesting. Most interesting class and hardest at same time for me.
