Comment:

Tough professor, but very good. She is a great lecturer, she has excellent Powerpoints, and she provides feedback to the students. She is not in the practice of giving easy A's, so if that's what you are looking for, move along. An A is very doable with a lot of work and dedication. She is a true asset to Valencia College in my opinion.

She is very nice and jolly as a person. But passing her class is hard! The class started with 24 students and by the end there were only 12 left . Tests are unbelievably tricky! Way to much reading. And buying a stupid lab manual and a launchpad access code is required costing over 100$. But she does give many extra credit opportunities.

First off if you're taking this class it is because you are going into something where bio matters so you should know things. It is not an easy class but she is def there to help you as long as you study hard, do your work, read, and pay attention to deadlines you'll get an A. If you don't need this class don't take it but if you need it take dr.d

Dr D is very helpful, but her tests are IMPOSSIBLE!!! Has trick questions on tests. The class started out with 24 students, only 8 passed, the rest either dropped out or failed. I understand that Biology is not an easy subject and there is a lot of material to cover but her tests are extremely difficult.

Dr. D is awesome! She explains everything very well and tells you EXACTLY what to focus on. Yes, you'll need to know a lot. STUDY the text and handouts. Don't be shy! Check office hrs on your syllabus and stop by in week 1 to introduce yourself. She'll remember you in a good way! She's very approachable and is always willing to help. Loved her!

Take this class. You will learn a lot and if you work hard, it is an easy A. The exams are straight from the book in the back of the chapter. The lab practial was easier than my high school course.

Do not take her class. I took it because it was my last resort and regret it. She is a really nice teacher and loves her subject but her tests are extremely difficult. Also, her point system is always off so you never know your grade and she says it is impossible for her to figure it out.

Do not take her. She is a nice teacher and all but expects you to know and retain so much info (even little details). Tests are hard and questions can seem misleading. Can't really keep track of your current grade because her points are always off. Avoid her if possible,if not, good luck.

You won't have any correction on your tests, exams. All your calculations, writing and even test's questions are confiscated forever (you couldn't even make a self-check). The ratio between work/grade is really poor.

Dr D is a great professor. She is challenging and you definitely need to read the text and study a lot. She will not spoon-feed you answers for tests. If you read the text and study her power points she puts on blackboard and put in the effort you can do well. She is preparing her students for the challenges of the medical field.

At first I thought that she was the best prof. but after the fisrt test she was out of the range. She asked question that she did not explain in her lecture. Five weeks before class end she chenge her syllabus for her convenience without thinking about the students. I would advised every student if you want to fail take her class.

This class is just ridiculous! She expects you to study 12 hours a week in order to pass her class, as if you need to know everything because she assumes everyone is a biology major. The details and information you have to know is outrageous and she is very boring and dry. Choose a DIFFERENT professor.
