Comment:

Taking his class got me really interested in philosophy. Sure it was a bit difficult, but I always left class knowing that I had learned something useful. And what Louis does really well is not only making the class interesting and fun, but he does a really good job elaborating and clarifying his points when someone is confused. Very knowledgable

The class is extremely hard just like any other philosophy class, but he does his best to make it fun and interesting for his students. Tough grader, but if you show that you're trying to improve your grade he'll take notice and try his best to help you out.

Great prof & highly recommend him. Taken 2 courses with him. No-nonsense when it comes to homework & tests but is easily accessible outside of class & genuinely cares about you as a person. Great sense of humor & is able to bring the content down to an understandable level. Good notes and outside readings are key. Lectures are funny and interesting

Took Dr. Mancha a couple times now and he is awesome. Easily the best philosophy professor in the department and I have taken many of them. If you're gonna take philosophy take it with him. He's tough, but you won't regret what you learn.

This class is extremely hard and you will struggle if you do not think abstract. He talks extremely fast and not clear. He does not answer questions clearly and will confuse you even more. He is a very difficult professor and does not care if you fail. He says he makes people cry and many do pass or fail with this class. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

Philosophy is just a hard class in general but Mancha is an awesome professor! Very passionate about what he teaches and very willing to help. You just really have to pay attention! Never was I a 4.0 student and iI got an A in the class.

I am not a skeptic, but I now know why some people are. Thinkers in dialogue was a blast, but really confusing. If you want to know why we don't really know, sit in with Mancha and get ready to have your head explode. Awesome lectures, and hard tests.

mancha is tough but he is one of the better profs on campus. encourages people to speak up in class, will give extra help outside of class to make sure you understand. looks like jack black with a beard. makes you think about important issues. HILARIOUS. ethics was my favorite class.

Dr. Mancha is incredibly smart and entertaining. His grading is hard, but fair. He also is extremely devoted to Jack Daniels and St. Thomas Aquinas. If you're not interested in philosophy, but need a tier course, take his "Thought and Belief". You will learn a lot . . .

I think for a philosophy teacher, he does a very good job bringing the subject to our level... if you don't understand something then raise your hand. he will explain it until you get it. he tells you exactly what is going to be covered on the tests and gives you hints on test. I've had him twice and i am an art major.. A's are possible. just THINK

He is a tough grader, but that is mostly because philosophy is a tough subject. I think I am learning from him, but I can't be sure...once again philosophy has that affect on people. Mancha is a good prof, and will meet with you outside of class if need be.
