Murillo rocks. Be sure to read the "novels" he assigns for papers and such (they are good reads too). Textbooks arent important, just pay attention in class. He is a really flexible teacher with a loose attendance policy.

omg dr. murillo is awsome!!!!! i love him. he is so funny and so engaging. we read really good (well almost all) books and have great discussions. i'm not sure where the hot came in, but he is really awsome! a lot of fun and very helpful. for future or current freshmen, take this class!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dr murillo is such a cool guy, but this class was terribly painful. he is ridiculously unorganized and didn't come prepared half the time. take murillo but for latino stuff that he's actually interested in.

Luis is such a great teacher. He talks fast and tries to make class interesting everytime. Shows movies in class. Lots of reading both u dont have to do all of it. Two 4-6pg papers, midterm, and final. Its basically all what you think supported w/facts from reading. Likes to talk but its interesting. Class is usually early at 830 (he has kids)

Feels like a highschool class--highschool type projects. I would have enjoyed tighter connections. Walked away feeling like I know trivia now, nothing more. Readings are boring, and never finished them, but my grade never suffered. Easy, but dissapointing
