Profesor Mary Rees was a person who though me a lot. She is just really professional doing her job, respectful, and supportive. She show me the way I suppose to do thing in the right way. Love her class eventhoug was the hardes class I have ever take.:)

I've never written a comment about a teacher until now. Professor Rees is an AMAZING teacher. Tests are rough but her passion for biology is huge and she has no problem helping you after class. I cannot recommend Professor Rees enough! Go to class, study, complete the objectives, go to lab - and you'll get at least a B.

amazing professor! lecture exams based off of objectives mainly and text book is straight forward. We also got to go to the zoo to learn about some of the animals. And all labs are easy. fair grading . just show up , take notes, and ask questions.

Class was hard. I admit, I am not interested in bio to much; however, her lectures where boring. Tests are mainly based on concept questions and picture labeling. I did every lab, ok on tests (C's - except on a couple) all the extra credit, all work and still got a C. I was dissapointed for putting in all the time and still not recieving a B.

Worst teacher I've ever encountered.I read some of the reviews but thought that they were just lazy and didn't want to any work, but trust me this is the WORST teacher there is.She makes a ton of errors on her powerpoints, skips through some of them and doesn't even give you time to write everything down. Basically had to teach myself the material.

Terrible. Inconsistent. Reviews one thing for the test, but you get something totally different when you take it. Tons of assignments, hard to keep up because of professor jumping from one topic to another. Power Points are disastrous, she misspells every word! Do not take this professor ever!!

I'm straight A student got B in this class. There's so much work, reading had to drop a class just to keep up. More helpful if you see her personally, gives you more info than to rest of class. She's not always clear in lecture. ?'s on tests is play on words. Strict grader. If you have no job or other class could get A. Don't take. 1 person got A.

Comment:

Microbiology is a tough class as it is, I did not do well in my physio or bio classes but she is an awesome teacher. She actually challenges you instead of having you repeat information. All test questions are from lectures, but you can find more info in the text book. I ended up getting an A out of this class and I am not the best science student.

Mrs. Rees is a great professor! She is so adorable, and very helpful. Her lectures can be a tad boring, but if you take the class with a friend, you're good to go. She is very knowledgeable on the subject, and teaches very effectively.

Rees is a great teacher! I highly recommend her! Got an A :) To get an A in this class, memorize any concept questions she mentions (best tip I can give, I promise you). Do not miss any assignments- try and earn every point you can. For lab final, study all labs. They all will be on the final. Small curve in class which helps. Really nice lady :)

She taught a difficult subject extremely well. She handles herself calmly in often chaotic situations (lab time can get crazy with everyone needing her attention). Study hard and be sure your life demands allow for this. Stay on top of lab homework - those points add up. Pay attention in lecture - she reviews all concept questions there. Good luck!

She will microexamine every single sentence you write for labs, projects, papers, etc. She will always rob you of the grade you deserved regardless of how hard you tried. The lectures are just an introduction of topics - the information you need is ultimately up to you. Assigns too much work and is an unfair grader. Avoid at all costs.

Mary is an absolutly amazing teacher. she can be kind of boring during lecture but not much. very enthusiatic to teach and help you understand it. Labs, quizzes and Tests are easy. quiz and test questions come from lecture. quiz question on test. Horrible teacher. confusing and doesn't know how to teach. Gives extra credit and says you have until the last day of class, and then changes her mind. Monotone and doesn't make you motivated to be there. Labs are boring, but better than the class. I do not recommend her at all. My mom took Ben Vallejo, highly recommend him. best teacher at M

Bio not being a strong subject of mine, I found this class to be very hard. The tests are tricky. Good class if you generally understand bio, because you basically just have to teach yourself (her lectures are boring and do not make sense). One good thing: she provides "study guides" on her website that somewhat help. Not good for most
