During my time at UPS, I took both Journalism and a Senior Writing class from her; they were thebest and most career-frinedly classes I took at UPS. Also gave a recommendation that led to a job, so Bravo! all around.

She never came to class but never told us in advance. We never got a syllabus either. She grades based on if she likes you. She assigned material that she hated and just whined about how awful it was. When I'd ask her for help she wouldn't actually help me at all. Yeah, she's nice, but she's not a good teacher and not worth the money.

Incredibly sweet lady, but way way too easy. Don't take her if you're taking english classes for a major, etc. She's good for WR freshman seminars because shes so much easier than most. Easiest grader ever. A bit forgetful. Gives you candy everyday!Also, she's not strict about due dates. Or showing up for class. Or following the syllabus.

Mary IS sweet, don't get me wrong. But not at all what I expected. We all need an easy course but I'm on the fence as to whether it was worth the money. Didn't find myself challenged or stimulated though we did read some good books for class. Look elsewhere to improve composition, but surely you should take her to lunch and tell stories.

Great professor. Easy, but willing to personally help you correct papers for extended benefit. Plus she brings candy to class (yes, it's college, but it's a nice perk to the morning)
