Dr. Kellogg genuinely cares about the success of his students. He teaches math so it is understandable and you leave the class feeling confident! If I knew teachers like him existed, I would have never stopped taking classes to begin with! I went from loathing math to it being my favorite course all because of Dr. Kellogg!!!-Ak

The best math teacher hands down. I have always had trouble understanding math before Mr. Kellogg. He explains things incredibly well and will break down the steps in simple terms. Mr. Kellogg has shown me that I can understand math, despite believing that I would never understand it.

For someone that has always struggled w/ Math I truly enjoyed Liberal Arts Math w/Dr. Kellogg. I believe the reason I found this class enjoyable and was able to comprehend it was due to Dr. K's teaching style. Dr. K is an awesome teacher that truly cares about his students & teaches in a way that is educational but enjoyable! Great Professor!

Comment:

Dr. K is wonderful! I really enjoyed his "work smarter, not harder" attitude. For having an 7:00-9:40 p.m. class, he truly made the time spent enjoyable, and gave his students a great environment to learn in. A once a week class can seem daunting with the course load, but it is definitely worth taking with Dr. K.

Professor Kellogg was awesome. I wish I there was more professors like him honestly. He gives great lectures, is very through with you understanding the material, gives you time to make up quizzes, or show your work. You have two lectures per class, so if you skip you will fall behind. overall awesome teacher, would take again!

This professor is in a class of his own! Took Calculus with him over the summer. He is by far the best teacher I have EVER had. He encourages students to do their best, explains things in a way students understand, and gives partial credit. He is so motivational! I'd email him a question during dinner time and he replied within minutes. THE BEST!!!

He is a great professor, took him for a summer class so it was very quick. He is a very fair grader when it comes to the tests, even if you get the answer wrong but show your work and it looks like you sort of understood, you get credit! 2 question quiz every class, but it is exactly from the homework so if you did it, you're good! Overall, GREAT!

Although his sense of humor is really dry, but still funny, Prof. Kellogg, is a wonderful professor. Follow the syllabus to the letter and pay attention in lecture and you will def, pass. Don't do the work and don't show up and you fail. Simple right. Seriously one of the easiest and BEST math professors at SPC.

This professor is a math education specialist. He breaks down example problems step by step and will explain anything not understood. Short quizzes were given each class and were directly from the homework. Tests were straight forward from the example problems given. Sets you up for success for the final exam!

This is my second class with Professor Kellogg. Math courses typically make me very anxious, but the fact that he gives partial credit on quizzes and tests for attempting problems keeps me from giving up on a problem without trying. Very engaging classes as well.

By far the best math teacher at SPC. I had heard horror stories about taking intermediate algebra from people who took it the semester before me and so many people failed because of poor teachers. Dr. Kellog is an amazing teacher! You get 25% for just doing your homework and you get to bring a formula sheet into the tests. Take him for MAT 1033!

Wonderful teacher. If you pay attention, you will do well in his class. I hated math and thought I was terrible at it until I took his class. Very helpful and is more than willing to help struggling students if they put forth the effort. I wish he could teach all my math classes!

Kellogg is probably great for lower maths but imo doesn't fit with Calculus. Sloppy handwriting and constantly makes mistakes when showing examples. Talks more than he writes, may miss important things that you wish he'd have written down. Not a very structured teacher for higher math; always ran out of time. Must teach yourself. No extra credit

This instructor is great. He enjoys teaching and has a good sense of humor. You will have a "quiz" every class. But the quizzes are just 2-3 problems from your assigned homework. It is basically just a homework check worth 20% of your grade. Tests aren't too hard but you will need to study for them. I hate math and got a B in the class.

Excellent teaching style, clear communication, best math class I've taken. Quizzes are straight from homework. I definitely recommend this teacher! I would take a class with him again!
