She is the sweetest woman :) and she really wants you to do well so she really welcomes questions and help. Her demonstrations can be long and boring but they're pretty helpful if you actually pay attention. It's a very easygoing class and she lets you have a 15-20 minute break in the middle of class, she plays music while we work too.

Krup wants you to learn and is helpful when you ask her for advice. Her lectures can be boring but you have a lot of time to work on projects in class. There's some online hw which makes a difference between an A or a B. She's strict on getting to class on time. I learned a lot from this class, made me a better artist. Teaches by the book art rules

Krump is good and all but she teaches the class as if they're all stupid. Once you have a low grade in that class there is no way you're coming back up. She'll keep you there no matter what and she won't engage with you unless you tell her. Overall don't take this class. Choose someone else, trust me.

Seriously one of the kindest, most caring, and inspiring teachers I've had. She approaches the class with professionalism and expects the class to do the same. If you goof off, shame on you. She's also available for students for career advice and is clearly an "insider" of the SF Bay Area professional art scene. Cool lady. Would take class again.

She's a really knowledgeable teacher and gives you a lot of time to finish assignments. She structures the class as a lecture/lab and sometimes the lectures feel like they go a little long. For the lab part she plays cool music and it feels kind of like a cool art salon or something. Not a hard grader and gives an easy-to-understand rubric.

When I first saw the syllabus I was a little worried about getting all the assignments done, but then I figured out we do them in class. Seriously? Like easier than a physics class for sure. Highly recommend this class as a good way to get your UC transfer art credit done and feel like you learned something. I think I can call myself an artist now.

This was my first art class since 9th grade and it was awesome. This feels like a real college art studio class - none of this crafty maker stuff. I learned classical technique, art history, and more! She also makes a point of engaging contemporary art in her lectures and encouraging us to go out and take part in free Bay Area art, even street art!

Prof. Krup teaches a straightforward class with the incorporation of productive critiques. She conducts the class with professionalism and sensitivity to the varied levels and needs of the students. Sometimes the drawing assignments can be challenging but you have 3 hours to complete them. Really just show up and you'll be fine.

Professor Krup is a bad at teaching art. She expects her students to be brilliant at art even in general ed classes. She doesn't give out much homework, but if you don't finish one complicated drawing in each three hour class (which I rarely did) you will have to do it for homework. I spent more time on homework for this class than any other class

Professor Krup seems fairly nice at first, but a few classes in and her true nature will be revealed. She is nasty to people she doesn't like, expects everyone to be an art student, and expects everyone to be really good at art even if you are a beginner. I asked her to leave class early once and she called me out in front of the class.

Professor Krup treats everyone in her class like they are stupid, and are art students. The stupidest person in the room is usually her. She might be good at art, but she's bad a teaching art. She also likes to tell the entire class what you have done wrong on your drawing. Finally she also expects everyone to draw perfectly, even beginners.

I've taken art classes before and thought I knew everything but I still learned a lot. She gives clear presentations and gives you lots of time in class to work on assignments. Buy the required materials (art supplies) otherwise you won't be able to do the class. Its okay because there isn't a book and exams come from lecture material only.

She really cares about students and is really nice. At first I was annoyed by how often she repeated herself in lectures but then I realized, people ask her to repeat things so she's probably just doing it in hopes everyone gets it without having to ask more questions. I liked her class and her a lot. Would recommend.

An inspiring teacher who meets her students where we're at and provides lectures and demonstrations that communicate to a wide range of experience levels. Even though I've taken similar courses prior, I still found something new and informative. She avails herself in studio for help but more or less lets you do your own thing
