Honestly a great Professor. She shows great films. She's personable. Incredibly interesting. Definitely approachable. Accommodating. Take good notes. Do her papers on time. Outline everything (paper and bibliography) before you write it, and you'll get As on everything. Participate, do the readings, and you'll get an A in the class. Simple as that

Comment:

The best and most interesting professor teaching in the department. Compelling film selection, fascinating lectures, and good readings. Very accessible and easy to approach. I wish I could take every class with Prof. Massood!

There is no doubt that she knows her stuff! I was in for quite of a shock taking this class, because it wasn't what I had expected, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Beware, although she's a great lecturer, VERY HARD GRADER. I think I wrote the best paper of my life and received a B for it. Also, she doesn't let you know EXACTLY what she's looking for.

I took Lang of Film 2 with her. She's fantastic! She knows everything about movies. She selected some real classics for us to see too. I always thought of her as the only competent teacher in the film dept. I highly recommend her. She's very cool and down to earth too!

I'm not a fan of any college professors, but she was awesome!! I absolutely loved her. She is very helpful and understanding and has a vast knowledge of film. She is very cool and down to earth and unlike any teacher in the BC Film Dept. Plus, she's pretty good looking for a woman her age, it just adds on to her appeal. Take her class, shes great!!

Very knowledgable on all subjects she teaches, but beware...you had better do the reading or you will quickly sink. Tests and quizzes irritating in that they involve text regurgitation, but more than made up for by film selection and her ability.

Comment:

Screens great films and assigns interesting readings. Lectures are formulaic and the Professor doesn't produce interesting interpretations of the material, but rather adheres to text book regurgitation. Student comments are the best part of the class.
