Comment:

Very strict with grading and it's almost impossible to get an A in her lab classes. Labs are not very exciting and drag on for hours. She makes students do a prelab write=up and then does the entire expirement as a demonstration for you at the beggining of lab. Other lab teachers seeemed much more easy going with their students.

Her Blackboard site is a total mess,no clarity or structure.Routinely she loses train of thought,her place on powerpoint slides, and even fumbles on questions that students ask.She conveys herself as an all knowing type.She may be a scientist but she cannot speak, orate, or explain anything easily. She is SO dull. She makes you do pre-labs the day before the lab so you know what you're doing, but when you come in the next day for lab, she takes an hour and goes over the ENTIRE lab! You just sit there and do nothing while she babbles on. She can't really hold a thought for too long, and she sucks at grammar and spelling.

Had for lab. Very slow in starting it off, but was very helpful as it progressed. During workshops, learned more in a few hours than in a few weeks with my regular professor. She knew her stuff well and could teach it successfully. Overall, not a bad professor.

prof dorr is a crazy old lady that does not know how to teach. i went to class numerous times but decided to stop after i realized she read power points WORD for WORD. would not recomend taking chem with dorr. shes a bore. she is a pushover though
