Dr. Sanow is wonderful!!! He is the best professor at CCBC. You must be on time and attendance is mandatory!! His classes will open your mind and your eyes to different perspectives regarding global racism. Take the Holocaust class because your life will be changed afterwards. There is a good amount of work, but ample time to complete.

Very good professor with alot of knowldege but alos alot of work involved in the class. My calss was based primalily on the elction- about 12 writeen assignemnts, 10 hrs of community service, and final paper. HE DOESNT ACCEPT LATE ASSIGNEMTN AT ALL SO MAKE SURE U HAVE EVRYTHING ON TIME!! Likes to bring in snacks and goodies for the class

Oh my gosh this man took away my life with all the papers he made me write. Let me warn all of you of what he gives so u don't get fooled by these other comments like I did. 11 papers total plus final exam paper. there where like a couple 5 & 7 page papers thrown in there. you have to do 10hrs of comm. service. he does give extra credit! got an A

Professor Sanow was one of the more interesting teachers I had this semester. One thing that is evident in his class is that he loves assigning papers. I had to write more than 15. A great thing about the class is that he brings in several Holocaust survivors to talk about their stories. His class was both good and bad Grade for preofessor: A-

I can see how he could be creepy at times. The class emphasized jewish history and the holocaust too much. Even most books were by Jewish authors. He is very easy-going if you are on time. Overall, if you want an A without taing a risk, take Sanow. He is Jewish so expect a little bias. Great guy, though. Class is easy if you can write.

AWESOME. I took his class in 2005. I thought about it the other day and decided to check his grade on here...I was shocked. There was a lot of content but I put out a good effort (not an extreme effort) and got an A. He is worth taking and he will give you a worth while experience. One of the best at CCBC.

The worst teacher I've had in my college career. The class is Holocaust and Global Racism, but the Holocaust is clearly the focus...no attention is paid to anything else. His endless ramblings in class teach nothing, all learning done on your own by writing papers on 4 books the class requires. Very rude, ridiculous rules in syllabus are ignored

Great experince. Loved hearing all the stories about the holocaust. Meeting Leo Bretholz was the highlight of the class. Lots of movies, and reading but well worth it.

I took his class during the spring semester. He led a lot of interesting discussions about race and society. I can truly say that I learned something new and very useful in his class which is very rare when you're dealing with race and minority groups. You work for your grade which is nothing new. The readings are very interesting.

Awesome teacher! Does concentrate more on Holocaust but that's bc he's Jewish. If you want a racism course, take an African American History course. He's fair with grading and let's you know what he expects. Also as a young female, I think that whoever said they feel uncomfortable with him, you probably brought it on yourself. He loves his family and there is no way you could ever convince me he acted inappropriately. Definately rec. the course.
