Comment:

Dr. Allred is very nice, but her voice puts me to sleep when she's lecturing! I love her, but it's very hard to stay awake in there because her voice is so soothing. Pretty easy exams if you study the study guide she gives you, not a lot of homework, interesting topics covered. Solid choice!

Comment:

Dr. Allred is very passionate about her topic and that shows when she teaches. She does have a very soft voice but she likes to add some quirky humor to keep you interested. Shes lenient with things. Studyguides can be difficult but she puts all her lectures up on Vikingweb so its all there. Homework comes from the book and it stays fairly simple

She is a nice lady but is very unorganized when it comes to viking web and doesn't put up study guides till the night before so you are to complete them AND study them the night before. She is also bad at responding to emails.

The most boring class I have ever taken. She is a sweet lady and the class is easy but by far my least favorite class I've taken at Berry so far!

Comment:

Easy class but, so flipping boring! Also, she likes to look at examples of topics (like racism) that are from the 1940's or earlier, rather than try to relate current events to what we are studying. She's a nice lady but, this class was terrible!

Class was pretty straight forward with the information. Only problem is that her voice is rather soft and soothing so I found myself always sleepy during her lecutres. I didn't end up with the grade I want but she is without a doubt a great professor and knows what she teaches.

Dr. Allred taught well and goes perfectly along with the book. So reading the textbook will get you an A in the class. She even visited me in the hospital during a health crisis! She worked with me and helped me catch up subsequently making an A in her class

Dr. Allred is such an amazing professor that holds compassion for not only the subject material, but the students interested in learning it as well. She is extremely lenient, sometimes too much, but she is understanding. Highly recommended.

Class is complete boredom! But you actually learn alot if you lay attention. Her exams are straight from the PowerPoint and the study guide she gives. The study guide is quite long so it's suggested to start on it earlier even though u want to study the night before.

Dr. Allred is very helpful. Her tests are pretty easy as long as you read the text book along with her powerpoints. Whenever you need help, she's always more than happy to help. Her semester project is pretty interesting, too.

in all truth, allred is a boring teacher,you have to trully be awake to have interest in her class, Soc,is intersting but i sugget if you can, to take the other soc, teacher. Her tests are easy, but you do have to study whats in the book. is very helpful in creating your pappers that you have for her class.
