Professor Baker is super cool with a southern flare. She's really laid back and takes her time teaching. Class can be kind of boring and papers aren't easy, but your hard work is reflected in your grade. Overall good teacher

A pretty straightforward class. Attendance is highly recommended because of the journal entries and she docks points if you miss classes. There is quite a bit of reading and writing, but it is very easy if you stay caught up on it. There is one book report presentation (group) and one critical response paper at the end (5-6 pages.) Professor Baker is perhaps an instructor you will enjoy alot; she's a very nice person and really enjoys instructing with a little fun sometimes (especially when you start reading). Personally, she's a really easy professor, but I also think she's really a good one too. It is encouraged to visit her office hours. But be prepared to write and read!

Love her, she's the icon of a liberal trapped in the midwest who has moved to California. She really made me appreciate California landscape and we had numerous discussions regarding medical marijuana. YEE

She demands excellence from her students and doesn't let them slack off which I really appreciated. There aren't any hard tests or anything. If you do the assignments then you will receive an A. She is really smart and loves music which makes class entertaining and enjoyable.

She is very unorganized and you must check web-ct all the time cause she posts things right before class. The garding isnt bad though cause there are a lot of easy assignments. There is only one test! She does take roll but usually lets you out early.

class i took was good i guess, she was very helpful and really there to support the students. However she is very liberal and may really speak out challenging students who may not be. Overall she is a good teacher though because she manages to teach a thing or two, and you still get that easy A.

I liked this class a lot but you really have to stay on top of the reading. She loves to use WebCT so check it constantly. She really appreciates her students that put fourth effort and she'll let you know she does. I enjoy it and learnd a lot, I recommend it to music and non majors alike, I think you'll enjoy. (Lot's of reading!)
