great professor however lectures can get boring and confusing. pretty easy class if you have a study group. we had extra credit quizzes every class that he gave answers to free points. 2 exams and a final and homework on each chapter. a solid choice for a teacher.

Physics itself is a hard concept to understand, but sometimes his lectures would be confusing. If you take him, make sure you read through the lecture slides/chapter AHEAD OF TIME so when you get to class, the info you know is expanded. Homework was tedious and canvas (grading website) was never updated. Drops your lowest test grade.

I mean hes nice and funny but he doesnt explain in a way most people would understand specially for a entry level physics class. Exams are hard and I wouldnt rely on the practice exams much. If you understand the formulas then you should be able to make links between them and do well on his exams. Spend most of your time on formulas.

This professor was great! He gives you cheat sheets for his midterms and final! Homework in online and sometimes hard to comprehend. Reading the book helps you understand his lectures more. Extra credit for attendance participation which is just a question every class using poll everywhere.

I wouldn't skip class unless you understand physics easily but also at the same time read the textbook and practice A LOT through problems. Even though he is funny, he has a hard time drawing the line from how to help to insulting students. I would only take this professor if there weren't any more nice teachers but he's a bit better than the worst

This class isn't very difficult, particularly if you are a science major. Dr Lim is hilarious and allows entire double-sided cheat sheets on every exam (2 midterms and a final). Go over his old exams, look for patterns of question types, and write notes for yourself on your cheat sheet. HW is tedious. Extra credit bonus questions every class.

Great and hilarious professor. Lets us use cheat sheets in tests. Our final was optional bc of campus issues. Gives extra credit as class participation and some extra credit homework. Those saved my life. Do homework, attend classes and participate even if you flunk the tests, you will still pass (basically my case)

Very easy professor. Allows one full page of cheat sheet. Curves. Posts sample tests on canvas. His lectures are slightly boring but he has a great knowledge of the subject and teaches it well. His exams are fair. If you show up to lecture you get extra credit points for answering questions he displays on Socrative that are related to the chapter.

He is the head of the Dept. so I think this helps in the overall grading of the class. It is a very hard class and he knows that. He is actually a very good professor and I would gladly take him again. He curves, allows cheat sheets for the tests, and he explains everything as best he can. He is likely the best professor in the department.

His cheatsheet and practice exam are the life blood for passing. If he didn't have those, I'd imagine everyone doing poorly. His curve however is very generous. Extra credit poll questions are given during class. This along with doing the HW is what boosts your grade. He's a very nice man who knows his stuff. But he gets carried away with theory.

To understand the class, you have to read the book. He gives homework that doesn't really go over the lecture, so you HAVE to read the BOOK! Tests are easy if you read the book and do the study guide, he allows 1 page of notes. He doesn't really like questions even though he says he does, but he makes you feel dumb when you ask. Occasionally funny

The book doesn't help. Teaches off slideshows. Lectures were recorded and posted on moodle. Makes things confusing, half the time doesnt know what he's doing. Spends more time on theory and derivation of formulas rather than how to solve. Lets you use cheat sheets for tests, USE PRACTICE EXAMS AS YOUR CHEAT SHEET.

Graded hw probs. are from other sources (not from the book) and he doesn't say from where. How can we know if he's giving the complete prob. or if it is accurate or changing things? You have to go an extra day for another session where he covers more details about the mysterious hw probs. I bet his profs. didn't give him these types of assgmts.

One of the greatest professors I've ever known. His lectures are clear and well thought out. He has an incredible ability to give you extremely difficult, yet extremely fair exams. He can and will show you how to improve if you let him. You must work hard!

I'm not sure why he has this many bad reviews, the guys a pretty good professor. The lectures are easy to follow and somewhat interesting. Pay close attention to the problems he does in class, as the majority of those are on the exams. Don't bother with the textbook, its garbage and useless. He's very helpful if you approach nicely. Easy A

He can be very boring and difficult to understand at times. He puts everything online including an audio of the lecture. Do the weekly quizzes and review the lecture notes and practice test and you will do just fine on the tests. Attendance isn't mandatory he never took attendance but it really does help to go to class.

physics is not easy but its not this guys fault. he's a very good teacher. you need to attend the classes to understand though then you dont really need the book. online HW and quizzes kind of a pain but he gives partial credit on tests. do the HW its the only way to study he gives reasonable grades if you show that you're trying

He doesn't explain things well and the text (Jackson) is even worse. Asking questions is a waste, he gives his answer and expects you to walk away. He also puts the book on the board, writing novels making very dull lectures exasperated by his monotonous voice. Tests are hmwk difficulty for a 2 hr class, insane. He keeps you long for lecture, too

Horrible teacher, explains absolutely nothing clearly. Examples are useless and so is he as a teacher. Doesnt like to explain. Only reason guy is still teaching is cause his grading is bogus. Curves to the extreme to save own ass. HATE HIM! Do not take him if want a clear idea of what physics actually is. Not a good teacher...at all.
