This professor is very excited about what he is teaching. He seems to really want to help students to learn and is accessible outside class. I would absolutely take him again.

Comment:

Prof. Kuhn was terribly confusing. I was lost the entire class. The homework is online so I had to take notes from that instead of using his notes. Once I started doing that my grades started improving. He makes it clear that he does NOT do extra credit. Also, expect to do a lot of hw in a week. They are due every other day & also on weekends.

Comment:

Kuhn is a nice guy. 10 pop quizzes through the semester, along with 3 tests and a final and ungraded homework. He gives you his old testsquizzes from the previous semester so if you can do those, you'll be fine. He just changes the numbers. Linear Algebra isn't difficult and he makes it easy as he can for you. Would recommend.

Kuhn is really giddy about math. He's a great teacher, knows what he is doing, and makes things easy to understand. He doesn't grade homework, but he assigns it. If you do the homework you will make an A.

He is a decent teacher but his sporadic speedy teaching is confusing and will make you confused unless you've done this stuff before. If you have just soak in as much as u can but if not then get ready to learn on your own.

Dr. Kuhn is friendly and loves to teach. His lectures are engaging and he works plenty of example problems and is always willing to answer questions, though he talks super fast sometimes. There are 10 in-class quizzes, 3 maple projects, and 4 tests. Tests are difficult, but if you take good notes and read the textbook sections, you'll do fine.

He does give a lot of quizzes but that means they aren't worth much individually. No graded homework, but it helps because he teaches based on the book. Three exams plus the final, and the tests are a breeze if you study and take good notes. He explains everything very well. Would definitely take him again.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He makes everything ten times more complicated than it should be. He's rude and his tests are difficult. If you're great at math, you'd probably do fine. But if you struggle with math, take a different professor.

Straightforward & fairly clear in his teaching. Not too difficult, but more work involved for the class than I expected. Willing to help, always answered my questions during office hours. Didn't like that he responded to rude comments from students with attitude of his own, and that after tests he would ask me "What took so long?"

Calculus is hard, but he doesn't make it much easier. Class is sometimes hard to follow, and like others said he sometimes answers your questions with new questions. On the bright side he is very willing to help, and he's approachable if you have problems. The tests are alright, but there's a lot of homework. You can get extra credit in his class!

I loved Prof. Kuhn! Do your homework and study and you're guarenteed at least a B. Hes very flexible and helps out when he knows you're trying. He's much better than any other math professor I've had here at UTC.

Dr. Kuhn is very scatter brained. If a student asks for help, most likely the response that they will get is "see me after class." I didn't ever feel like he was teaching me very much. The girl who sat next to me in class taught me more than he did. I didn't always understand the material because he didn't usually explain it clearly.

Steve is the Man!! I have had calculus from 3 teachers and he is by far the best. He is capable of explaining the most complex topic in an easy to understand way and he's funny and enthusiastic too.

The man in brilliant. He is able to help you understand the material just by asking you questions. Everything you need to know is in the tutorial, but he is more than willing to help you if you need it. You have 6 assignments which you can do with a partner, you have at least two weeks for each, and the 2 exams are exactly like the practice exams.
