Dr. West is a great guy - one of the nicest teachers I've ever had at CUA. If you take his class participation matters, you need to be aware of what's going on in the readings, and pay attention in the class.

Comment:

I absolutely hated 387 and since I was required to take 388, I did but was not looking forward to it at all. Thankfully all has changed. Dr. West is very helpful, very approachable, and very understanding. He will help you as long as you pitch in. Doesn't particularly like to be called "Dr." Honestly a great professor.

One of the best teachers at CUA. He is extremely helpful, so definitely go to him with questions, or ask what you can do to improve. Took his class many times because he actually cares about his class and students.

Great teacher! Easy to follow, great power points, and well-versed. He gives a ton of reading, even for a 300 level history class, and he doesn't seem to give out a lot of A's, but you will learn a lot from Prof. West.

Very interesting course, and classes were definitely not a bore. Does ask student to do a lot of reading, and puts large emphasis on class participation. Expects a lot from students and is not an easy grader, although he is not unfair.

Dr. West is a very organized teacher and his PowerPoint slides help a lot with note taking. Lots of reading involved, but if you keep up with them you will be successful. Real nice guy.
