SAVE YOURSELF AND AVOID MARTIN. This class is confusing, difficult, and dreary. Questions are shot down, Martin is forgetful and makes slip ups discussing mathematic formulas - causing issues for learners. Literally nothing makes sense, I spent so much time trying to save my grade with Khan Academy, I learned nothing with this class.

Probably the WORST professor I have taken at this school, thus far. He is constantly late to class, and leaves in the middle of class often. He trails off of topic a lot and his grading method does not make much sense. If you have a question, he will cut you off in the middle of your question and answer something that you didn't even want to ask.

Professor Martin is an affable guy. I made the mistake of thinking he was a boring older professor, but soon came to realize that he was actually a very thoughtful teacher. Pay attention in class - think creatively; remember that hes very witty in his verbal problems. If you work hard, it pays off. Hes a nice guy and he wants you to succeed.

He's very sweet and wants you to do well in his class. If you have any questions he has no problem explaining and giving up his own time to help you. Statistics was a breeze with his help. His tests can be pretty rough sometimes but he gives you partial credit which really helps.

I had him for Calc 1 and 2. He is a GREAT teacher. His class is a lot of work though and he gets off topic quite a bit, but he is super helpful. I had taken Calc before and didn't do well, so I was scared about his class but he really is a good teacher and HIGHLY recommended! He makes sure you actually UNDERSTAND what you're doing.

Mr. Martin is the best math professor I ever had. He explains the problems well and you have a week to turn in homework. He is available whenever you need him. Calculators are not allowed in his class, but I think that's good so that you can learn the process.

Steve Martin is a good comedian, but Mr. Martin's humor is a lil dry lol. I have taken Calculus 3Xs from AP and other college. He's slow, but I wish I would've had him for the tough part of Calc cuz he can explain. If you get an 89 he won't give it to you. A GREAT advisor to have. Knows everything about transfering and scheduling. Strict grader.

Martin made stats a piece of cake. I mean, he lets you use the charts and formulas on tests! It's impossible to fail unless you don't know basic math, like counting. Besides that, he's a really nice guy to talk to about college in general, especially transferring and whatnot.

Very easy going. Gives very detailed yet easy to understand instructions on how to do problems. He hands out information sheets on each section which are much easier to understand than the book. He is always willing to help. Does not grasp the concept of time though. I tended to be rushing or late for the class I had after his.

( i took during the summer) This class was horrible he sat in a desk the whole time and lectured never got up to put anything on the board and the test we hard b/c he never tried to explain anything, if you have trouble with math i do not reccomend him.
