really cool professor, really cool person. there is A LOT of reading, and the 6 journal entries, 2 essays, and 1 final are based on what you've read. actually reading makes the class so much easier and you'll learn a lot, so just do it. show up, pay attention and do the work and you won't fail. i got an A and all i did was put in a little effort.

I actually took Prof. Tirelli's Intro to Politics and Government class as a visiting professor at Manhattan College, and it was a very fun and interesting couple of weeks. He's clearly very well educated and he is very helpful and funny.

Comment:

Simply the best professor in the Poli Sci department. Tirelli is a deeply intelligent person with an evident passion for what he does. He engages with his students on both a personal and professional level.His class is both informative and helpful outside of class, and he conveys the messages in an eloquent fashion. He is fair and consistent. BEST!

I just finished taking him for Congress and the Legislative Process. He is an AMAZING professor. So caring, so kind and so intelligent. He works with you and cares about his students a lot! I HIGHLY recommend him. Actually, I think he should run for president! LOL! Take his class - he will make a boring subject interesting for you. TIRELLI2012!! :D

great professor. the class can be boring if you're not interested in politics or don't keep up with the reading, so it's important to try to participate, since the class is largely lecture and discussion based. tirelli is passionate, knowledgeable and really helpful.

Political Opinion and Behavior Class - Prof Tirelli is a really nice guy, easy professor, easy class. Just make sure to read because there is no real note taking because we always digress from the topic of the day however it is a laid back class, due dates not exactly reinforced. Just do the readings and you will get an easy A. No way to fail this.

This core class was a joke and it was very boring, but I don't blame the professor. He relies heavily on the text book and before every exam, he gives out an essay review sheet to allow us to prepare ahead of time. During the semester, he gave 1 paper, 2 exams, and we had to submit 15 journal entries. Overall, he is nice and is a VERY easy grader.

An Okay professor. 1 midterm, 1 final, 13-16 journal entries. I never did any readings and still got an A. Just listen to him in class and pay attention. Essay questions are given 1 week b4 the exam. Take him & come to class. An Easy grader in general. (And you have to buy the packet at the copy center)

He's easy going. Makes the subject interesting, he loves to talk & is knowledgeable on the subject matters. Attendance is a must. Class can put you to sleep at times. Midterm & Final questions are given in advance and you will have to answer 1 question in an essay format the day of the test, but you will not know which one will be on the test.

If you want an easy, breezy time, this is the prof. to take. Just show up to class, skim the books, and you'll do great. I clashed with him a few times due to our differing political ideologies, but he doesn't hold it against you as long as you're informed. Boring but not hard in the slightest.

Great Prof!! Just take good notes in class and when it comes time for the final and midterm he gives the questions before hand so you can prepare your essay answers. all you have to do it re-write the notes you took in class and your good to go.

he is very easy. gives u the essay questions before the tests and lets you choose the quetions to answer on the tests.he also lets u rewrite the midterm if u did not do well. u can sleep in his class because he likes to talk alot.definitely recommended, take him, he is absolutely great.
