read two books, emergence and mcdonaldization of society. Both good and easy reads. participated in discussions and did light writing. By light, I mean a discussion or two every week, but only about a page each, if that. interesting and easy!!!

Comment:

Used two books for this class and one was an okay read, the other was dry. But other than that the professor encouraged discussion and creativity and that is something I always appreciate in an instructor. No quizzes for this class, just discussions and a final essay. I recommend him if you like the creative style.

STS 317 is not Dr. Foster's best class. The reading is dull and extremely dry. Has international relations (IR) always been this boring? Roughly 25% of the class has withdrew from this class. I wouldn't be surprised if this number hits 40% at the end of November.

Online Fall 2010 - Most inspiring and motivating Professor @ ASU. I selected the class to fulfill the Global and Historical awareness. His encouraging statements and subject knowledge sparked immediate interest in all students. The BEST class I have had unrelated to my GIT program. He is an excellent instructor. You WILL learn something!

I don't remember the exact section number, but this teacher was awesome. He knows his stuff and respects students. Work hard and you'll learn a lot and have a good experience. He's also great to keep in touch afterward to keep you up-to-date on current societal/scientific issues. I had a great experience.
