Comment:
Dr. Cruz lacks the organization and explanation skills to teach a class anything effectively. She blabs about random stuff that isnt related to the assignment and doesnt tell u how to do it. She expects you to read the entire textbook and navigate it on your own and teach yourself. I dropped after 2 classes, she is way too disorganized and messy

I feel like Dr. Cruz did not prepare me for the classroom as a teacher. You will get an A if you show up and do the logbooks/discussion boards. She lectures all of the class and doesn't help when people are confused. Appreciate her effort to try and inspire.

Dr. Cruz is a kind and caring woman, just shouldn't be teaching! Is super strict, rambles a lot (expects you to take notes on her ramble??), is unclear with directions, lots of busy work (multiple projects at once), keeps you beyond class time, and so on. She is passionate with no direction, disorganized. Has potential! just needs an update.

She is a mess and does not follow her own syllabus. It blows my mind that she is a teacher to prepare future teachers. She makes no since in her instruction, many students in the class have each others number to help with homework because she offers little help. If you can avoid her. She waits until last minute to grade and that worries me.

She is a very kind teacher, however she is very strict. her syllabus has due dates for the the whole semester but they often change. if you enjoy group learning and are very good are college level reading this is a good class to take if you don't require professors help. she rarely answers emails and is very condescending when answering questions.

Her class was so frustrating. I wanted to pull my hair out. She rarely responded to my emails and showed up to class late often. I wouldn't suggest her for students who like things done in a timely manner. She might be a good lecturer, but lemme say, I gotta take another TWO of her classes next semester and I want to cry already

Professor Cruz is very sweet, but she will not answer questions. She will talk about everything besides what you are trying to ask her. Also, good luck getting ahold of her. She told my class that she was going to stop looking at her email when we had two huge projects due that were worth half our grade.

Only allows students to miss 4 class periods and if you miss more than 4 you automatically fail the class. Randomly selects students to participate. She likes to use the attendance sheet to call names and ask questions which puts you on the spot and gives me total anxiety. Never responds to her emails and her lectures put me sleep and often wander.

Ana Cruz is a wonderful and caring teacher. The only tough thing about her is that she is a little hard to understand due to her accent. She is very knowledgable about the material she teaches and encourages teamwork.

When I first came on here to see what Dr. Cruz would be like I was really nervous looking at all the negative feedback. I am here to say she is one of the best professors I've had! The folders you need for you observations she is very clear what she wants in each of them. Overall really enjoyed her class and will be keeping in touch with her!

Comment:
Dr. Cruz teaches a technology class, but herself does not use technology to teach in class outside of some outdated videos and presentation slides. She practically worships Paul Friere's "critical pedagogy" teaching philosophy, which promotes critical thinking and discussion in students. However, she then talks in circles and doesn't call on you.

Comment:
Dr. Cruz is very knowledgeable when it comes to the subject of teaching, but she lacks with lectures, communication, and clarity. The coursework is not too difficult, but it can be easily misconstrued with Dr. Cruz as your teacher. She stretches herself too thin with all of the responsibilities that she has, and therefore does not communicate well.

The lectures moved by too quickly, and she expected students to do very specific things for homework. I would have liked it if she provided us with a rubric of exactly what she wanted in our folders.

She is late every class, holds us late, and fails to cover anything from her syllabus on time. When we ask her questions about her work she says "look at the syllabus" but her syllabus is vague at best. I took two classes with her this semester and will never take another with her. I would not reccomend her to any student that values learning

I have never met a more unreasonable professor. I missed two weeks of class due to the flu, and when I brought her the records of my visit with my doctor that was not good enough as a doctors note. She also doesn't post anything on blackboard, so if you miss an assignment handed out in class on top of losing attendance you fail that assignment.

Dr. Cruz is hard to understand and teaches her students specific things they shouldn't do when she does it, example shows up late to work. She goes on topics that aren't part of the lesson. Isn't specific on what she wants from her students. Do not take this Cruz it fallen so far.

Hands down most annoying and worst teacher. Tells the same stories over and over. Makes you question if u want to be an educator. Shows up late to class and holds class past the end of classes. Gets very off topic. You have to follow everything exactly how she wants it (even if she doesn't tell u how she wants it) or expect a lot of points off.

In this class you have to read in order to pass the exams. Complete all homework on time. Lectures are extremely boring and you do not learn much in this class.
