Comment:

Several short response papers, a group project, and a larger paper. This class involves plenty of work, but was my fav. She sometimes gives odd looks, but just means she's listening to what you're saying. Speak up in class, because it's uncomfortable if no one reads. Ask for help with papers-you'll need it! Not an easy A, but definitely worth takin

She leads very interesting discussions and likes to dig deeply into the discussed topics. She's also very helpful and just a nice person. She does however have a certain vision for how writing should be so just be prepared to acclimate yourself to that.

Levine is fabulous! I absolutely love her. She's not easy but you learn a ton and she's totally willing to work with you. Take her if you can!

Prof. Levine is a great prof. You will most likely get a B, but I promis that you will learn something. She leads the class in great discussions and seems to know something about everything. She is very helpful and gives awesome feedback on papers.

She's not an easy professor, but she's not a feminazi either. Her discussions were interesting and relevant. Her assignments are clear and if you have questions she will answer them. It's virtually impossible to do poorly in her class, though you may not get an A, A minuses and B pluses are common.

Levine is great. Interesting material, super smart and leads in-class discussions well. She's not your mom and she won't cuddle you but she's an excellent professor. Her writing assignments are often difficult to understand and her grading is tough but I'm a better writer after taking her class.

Professor Levine is my favorite prof this semester! She's incredibly smart but never condescending and her classes are always interesting. Not an easy course, but I look forward to it. Take her if you can!

Prof. Levine does not deserve her reputation of a feminazi. She presents ideas that are progressive but in no way radical. The books she uses are very interesting (except for highbrow/lowbrow) and she initiates interesting class discussions. She's not an easy grader, but it is pretty hard to fail this class. (Impossible really)

Professor Levine is not a feminazi, and please, grow up and stop using that term. She is an amazing professor, with great ideas and promotes interesting discussion. She is not an easy grader, but she improves your writing skills, and thats what a professor should be doing. Its possible to get above a B, you just have to work and show her you car

SUPER HARD. Reading assignments were really good and interesting. Fair amount of work. Papers were tough but you got the chance to write them over for a grade. Liked the subject matter but she totally brought down my GPA and changed my research topic like 6 times so that i didn't even know what i was writing about. don't think i'd recommend her

I think her grading is random. I have had papers that were "the best [I've] ever written" that had the exact same grade I've gotten on all the other papers. I'm a feminist, but she's a feminazi. You will only learn of female oppression in her class. Hope you don't like disney. Plan on getting a B.

This class gets awfully repetitive. The reading material was very interesting, but the class just talks about the same thing over and over again. Other than that, make sure you have the same opinion as the professor, or you really wouldn't be able to enjoy the class.

Levine is awesome!!!!!!!! Yes you will get a B, no matter what, yes it is the most repetitive class I have ever been in, but she is extremely understanding, very smart, and hilarious. Strongly recommend if you are subjected to the horrors of WLP. She makes it a little more manageable.

Levine is a nice lady, but the class is repetitive and she gives weird glances if you say something that she either disagrees with or doesn't understand. Expect to get the same grade on EVERYTHING. B+s are the most common. It's tough to learn from your mistakes because you always get the same grade.
