Comment:

Ann is a nice person, but a bad teacher. Her class is very unorganized, you'll do an assignment on something that you'll learn the next week which makes it hard to get a good grade. And she also doesn't double check her work, so you have to check it yourself to be sure it's right (especially exames). But if you work EXTREMELY hard you'll do good.

Ann is an amazing professor with a ton of knowledge. She wants her students to succeed. You have to pay attention and be ready to take loads of notes. Her lecture exams are heavily graded. I will take her again.

Definitely a tough grader. Sometimes it felt as if she was searching for flaws in my work. I completed the extra credit work and studied vigorously to earn an A in the class. Sometimes it felt as if her tests were purposefully confusing, but if you attend lecture, you will do fine. Overall, a good professor.

Comment:

Be prepared to study! Hardest class I have taken. Ann is a good teacher, read the chapters and attend lecture and you'll get the grade you want. Her choice in test questions are sometimes unclear but she is willing to work with you if you don't understand the material. She's knowledgable in the topic and relates things clinically, this is helpful.

Ann's a phenomenal instructor who genuinely tries to help students truly learn the information. If you want an easy A, pick another instructor, but if you really want to learn the information and retain it (and hopefully you do if you want to continue on in health care) Ann's the teacher to take.

A&P2 was probably one of the toughest classes I have taken! Ann does a great job presenting the material and taking extra time to make sure everyone is getting it (sometimes she rearranged assignments and tests to make sure the class was successful). This class has a lot of carry over to microbiology and she did a great job preparing me for it!

If you are heading to a degree in the medical field you need to take Ann! A&P is not an easy subject and its a lot of material to cover, but Ann packages the whole class in a way that will prepare you! If you follow the study guides, complete the assignments, you will get an A. She was great about helping outside of class on things hard to grasp.

Class started with 36 students. 6 students were there to take the final. The rest quit. Many trick questions. But then again, she was clear in mentioning that the class was an "elimination class" for healthcare programs. She OFTEN encouraged us to vote for her choice of presidential candidate. Annoying. Pick Dr. Dev instead of he teaches the class

This class was really difficult. I'm was taking this class with a&p 2, and i wish i never did. She gives us study guides, but her tests are full of tricks. the class is struggling to get by, and dont be surprised to get a F or D on a test you think you did well on. she doesn't drop the lowest score, so 1 bad grade and you're screwed.

Ann's tests are very tough. She goes out of her way to trick students into picking the wrong answer. For many questions there is not a clear cut answer. I did love her lectures and lab, just not the tricky testing..I don't believe it promotes learning at all. Ended with 99.5% so this is not coming from a slacker. Think hard before enrolling in it.

Unorganized. Changes things up last minute. VERY difficult tests (study guides & 30 hours of studying minimum a week got me C's on all the tests) Very nice lady, passionate about Biology, learned a lot but did NOT think her testing style was fair. Don't memorize just terms, understand ALL concepts AND key terms. Take alone with no other classes.

Comment:

Ann is not an easy professor because she doesn't teach easy subjects. Anatomy and Physiology is hard. Period. Take psychology if you want an easy A. If you work hard in her classes and show her that you're not begrudgingly jumping through hoops, she is extremely helpful and will work with your learning style to help you understand the material.

Very helpful,took her both in class ans online and I prefer the online class. With online you can re-listen to lectures before exams, always available to answer questions. Wish I could take her for Micro but have to take someone else

Terrible. Unfairly tough grader. Tests are ridiculously hard. Even the best students are struggling to get by. Boring presentation of material. Just hoping I pull a B and will be glad to be done with her. Take someone else if you are trying to maintain a 4.0.

Ann is my favorite teacher! I had her for a&p2 and micro. She is very clear and makes lecture interesting! These are hard classes, but Ann makes them so much easier. Thanks to her detailed ppts and study guides I never had to read the text (and got an A!) highly recommend her!
