Comment:

The online class was biweekly, which gave plenty of time to go through the material. Most of the grading relies on discussion boards, which are all straightforward and easy to answer. Only two tests in the class and she gives a study guide for it that lays out the test. A few easy papers as well. An easy class to pass, not time consuming.

Comment:

Before the semester had started, I was worried about Dr. Matthews. I had seen her reviews weren't really good and people had told me she wasn't good at all, however now I have to say I disagree with those people. I love Dr. Matthews. I think she is great. She is so kind and caring and she isn't really tough. Take her you probably will like her.

This has to be one of the worst online courses I have taken at university. Her tests are not fair or easy at all. Looking up information to find the material to answer questions is time consuming.

Weekly work and then project on top of everything. A couple of times during the course mini-projects. If you do not get things done early it will be extremely hard to find time to get the project done. Make sure you do more than less and quote the crap out of everything and over explain. But even then she will find something you did not mention.

I found this class to be hard. She is a stickler for attendance. You MUST read the endless articles in her class. Don't get behind! The tests consist of multiple essays. Very nice lady but overall a very difficult class.

Very knowledgable about what she's taking about. Discussion boards are hard. There is a lot to them and you can only post and respond on certain days. Tests are pretty easy coming directly from the material. I would take her class again!

I've had Dr.Mattews for two different courses and would take her again in a heart beat. She definitely tries to make it interesting and if you follow her study guide you should do well on her exams. Extremely helpful in and outside the classroom.

Dr. Matthews is a very sincere teacher who is commited to her students' learning. Her online 350 course was pretty cool, some nice video lectures that kept it real and made it feel almost like an on-campus class. Essential and eye-opening course taught in a very intereting manner.

Very nice and super cool lady....but I'm sorry...the class was really boring and the essay tests were difficult. No homework or anything like that...laid back...but you have to nail those essay tests with everything she wants to hear if you want to get a decent grade.
