If your taking his class on satire, don't tell him that you think Howard Stern engages in satire. He made it clear that he loves satire and hates Stern. You'll drop a letter grade on all your papers. Dr. Frye made me fall in love with British Literature. He is very kind and one of the most interesting and personal professors I've met at TCU so far. Be prepared to work hard but you will enjoy him and his class very much!

SWEET person! He is a very hard grader, He expects you to take his class seriously. You should read before coming to class but sparknotes is very helpful also. He is so helpful! he always makes himself available to you and you can ask him to edit your paper before you turn it in. he usually lets you rewrite it if its a very bad grade. TAKE CLASS

Dr. Frye is a wonderful professor! He does a lot of readings in his fresh seminar, which are difficult and you need to be prepared for class. He grades pretty hard on his papers, but if you work hard you can get an A. I definately would take Frye again if I could!

Dr. Frye is awesome! He's so nice, and I enjoyed the class. If you're looking for an easy class, don't take him though. He's a really tough grader. I ended up with a B in the class, but I worked pretty hard. His class will improve your writing though.

Anyone considerin taking this honors seminar be warned. I am junior now and this was by far the hardest course I have, and probably will ever take at TCU. If you do not have a passion writting don't take it. However, If you are majoring in journalism or something like that though I would reccomend him b/c he will take your writing to a new level.

Professor Frye has to be the best professor I have ever had. Honestly I walked away with a C and pretty much wrote a paper every week or two but I really enjoyed the class. He puts a lot of effort into his class and makes it worth while. DO NOT take this class if you are looking for some easy UCR to increase your GPA.

By no means should you take this teacher if you are looking for an easy class that won't consume all of your time. I have enjoyed the class though. He is an interesting professor; however, he is very scatter-brained. Tough grader but will improve your writing. I enjoy the class, while my peers do not.

He was a very interesting professor on a personal and in class basis. He was very inspiring to me personally and helped me to develop my writing. I would strongly recommend him to anyone. He is a hard professor, but it challenges you to be better.
