Very educated woman. Very respectful to all and related current events to what she taught. She has a great sense of humor and I really enjoyed her class. Very easy course. Open book tests. Lots of class discussions.

I think that this instructor has the capabilities of being a nice person but for some reason each day of class was lets pick on the African American girl. Every day I felt like I was being rapped. I was called aunt Jamima and treated pretty bad by Ms. Schmitz.If you want an easy A take her class, but if you are black she is going to upset you.

She is GREAT!!! Had her for two classes. I highly recommend her. Her classes are easy & u will learn if u actually want to. She wasn't late or canceled class when I had her. She makes everyday situations relate the the topics she teaches.

easiest A in your life take her. She gives you open book test. I finished her class with a 110% because she gives so much extra credit and never got less than a 98% on a test or homework. Just prepared not to learn anything because you will not learn unless you read the book and teach yorself. But like I said easyA for required course.

The only notes I took were of hilarious comments that she made. She cancels class a good amount and often just gives you full credit for tests and homework. If you wanted to learn, you could. Im taking her again next quarter mostly for the humorous aspect. To some her up she is an old conservative german lady.

If you want to learn anything at all, DON'T TAKE HER!!!!! I really like sociology and wanted to learn more about it, but taking her, I didn't. She cancels class all the time, and she gets off topic SOOOOOO easily. I would never take her again. But you want an easy class and don't care about learning, take her.

I loved Carolyn, she makes every student feel so respected. She has a sense of humor that will keep you laughting and her teaching styles allows you as the student to truly be a part of the class. Because of her, I will be taking as many SOC classes as I can. She makes learning fun and truly shows how it relates to everyday life.

The only reason I'm giving her a good review is because the class itself is easy. I don't think she really teaches a lot and it's the 7th week and she's canceled 3 classes. That's more than I miss! I wouldn't say don't take her though.

this little old lady is the kindest woman you'll ever meet. although I didn't really have to try too hard in the class. she let us use open book on the tests. made me wonder why I even spent the time studying my ass off the night before. but nonetheless I got an A in her class. so she's awesome if you are looking for an easy A.

I hated this class. She is so freakin' boring that I never paid attention at all. The class is soooo easy if you fail you are a moron. The tests were open book, there is a ton of extra credit easy A and I never paid attention at all. I would never purposely take another class from her b/c she didn't
