She is such a great professor! The lectures are great and she is just a great person in general. She is super respectful and the class is a fun time and something fun to learn.

Comment:

Gives tons of extra credit points. Attendance also tied to points in the class. Must watch 2 plays and write reviews for credit. Allows 2 extra credit reviews that equal an exam. Class is usually half lecture and half watching plays. I love Corely! She is also very understanding, if your having problems, just talk to her.

Comment:

She was really bizarre every class and there were things I did not like about her teaching. Also she is incredibly technophobic. One day before we took a quiz, she made us watch a documentary about the musical In The Heights which had nothing to do with the quiz. Don't take her unless you want to be bored to tears the entire semester.

Mrs. Corley is a very very friendly professor who is more than willing to help her students in any way possible. She gives LOTS of extra credit and her exams are fairly easy, just study the powerpoint slides, do homework, dont miss class, pay attention to the plays you watch in class, and do the play reviews. do that and its an Easy A.

She's really fun and nice. She's very enthusiastic about it and has cool videos to share. I had a morning class, so everyone was pretty dead which made things not as fun. Her tests are short answer, and very direct. There's no traps. No worries. She offers extra credit. Very interesting and fun!

took in summer. loved every minute of this subject. did all extra credit. made a+ only think I did not like was she has no stance on students texting, on phone or on laptop which was disturbing to me. I went to her dean but he was an idiot and took no stance either. She knows her stuff though.

She is the most boring teacher I have ever had. She acts nice to your face but that changes fast when she teaches. She doesn't know any of the material that she is teaching and it is very obvious to see. Very disappointed with this class and her teaching abilities.

Honestly, the stuff in this class isn't too hard. Just do the work and pay attention in class to lecture. The biggest downer is that she plays videos the rest of the class. For pretty much two hours. And its plays that no one has interest in and goes on for hours. Also on test days, you have to watch the two hour videos before you can take the test

HER CLASS IS NOT EASY BUT NOT HARD. YOU HAVE TO GO TO EVERY CLASS AND PAY CLOSE ATTENTION. YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THE BOOK BUT YOU DO HAVE TO READ IT. YOU CAN GO TO THE LIBRARY AND CHECK IT OUT. THERE IS ALOT OF VOCABULARY AND THE HOMEWORK IS DUE ON EVERY TEST.

Gives 20% EC. Nuff said, easy A. 4 tests, 4 HW, have to attend 4 plays and write play reviews. She will look them over if u ask. She emails back fast. Half the class time is lecture, half is watching plays on TV. All her notes are online so u can print them out. Takes attendance. This was the only GE I liked taking. Wonderful human being! Got an A.

I like her as a teacher but the subject, not so much. The materials in this class can be a bit dry, but she tries her best to make it fun. Class itself is easy. Get to watch plays and she offers ec. Super enthusiastic, nice and helpful! take her!

Cynthia Corley is a very enthusiastic teacher! The class itself is fairly uninteresting, but she attempts to add some humour in her lectures to keep you entertained. Sweet lady! I'm not a theater person and didn't care about the content much, but she made it easy to memorize and understand. You do have to go out and see plays to write about, but she's an easy grader so it's not bad. I'd recommend the class.

Cynthia is fabulous...she's nice, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Some of the projects in this class require quite a bit of time, so stay on top of the assignments. Also make sure to keep up with lab hours. You are required to do a total of 15 during the semester, and you definitely don't want to wait until the last week to start.

She's a very sweet person and the class can be very interesting, but getting all the materials together for the projects could be extremely difficult without planning. Don't underestimate the work you have to do in this class! Otherwise she was a generous grader and was also v. helpful when you needed it.

she's a very sweet woman. you can tell she loves what she does. i got an A, and i had a C in the middle of the semester, thats because she has a lot of extra credit options. take her! she's a great teacher!
