Futoma is a very nice teacher. I Have trouble in science and understanding it but he didn't have a problem helping me out after class. as long as you show effort and try to learn the material you should get through the class

Comment:

I had him for chem 190, 191, and 192. He is one of the best professors I have ever had at RWU and I loved every minute of his class. Really cares about his students and just wants everyone to do well in his class. Prepares you well for tests and advance chem classes for the future. I would 100% recommend taking him. Definitely a great professor!!!!

I had Futoma for chem 190, 191, and 192. Taking all of these classes with him was the best decision I ever made at RWU. He teaches all the material in a way that his students can understand because he wants EVERYONE to pass. He's also on campus every Sunday to help. If you need to take these classes, take them with him.

Originally, I failed out of chem191 my first semester here with a different professor(where I got a 29 on the first test) Instead of stopping I was able to get into chem190 with Futoma. This prepared me for chem191. After Acing chem190 I was able to get a chem191 class with him where I tripled the score I got on that first test. Best Professor here

If you're worried about passing chem lab take his class!!! He is by far the best lab instructor I've had at Roger Williams he cares more about making sure you understand what's going on then blindly following the lab manual. Highly recommend taking his lab. If you try he won't let you fail.

Dr. Futoma is my favorite teacher at rwu so far. He is straight to the point and lets students know exactly what is expected and what needs to be known. He helped me get the best grade in the multi section chem 191 final, so I think that serves as evidence he is a quality teacher.

Dr. Futoma is hands down the best chem lab professor here at RWU. He always made sure we understand the material and what is expected of us. He clearly knew what he was talking about and was always prepared. I loved that he'd do a walk though of the lab before we begun to help answer any possible concerns we may have had going into the lab.

Dr. Futoma was the best chemistry I've ever had! He makes sure his lectures are only what students really need to know for exams, and has extra help ever single week. He does give homework every week, but it really prepares you for the tests, and he pulls test questions straight from the homework packets. Definitely take him if you can!

Dr. Futoma is the best chemistry lab professor! He is clear with his expectations and doesn't assign busy work. He only asks us to complete the parts of the lab that will be useful to us. He is so great with returning our work and answering lots of questions. Study for his quizzes and always complete the pre-lab assignment and you'll do great!
