I had her as my internship supervisor, so it was a little different experience for me. BUT, she was so, so, SO helpful and SOOO nice! Honestly, one of the best people in the communication department!

Debbie is the sweetest and best professor you could possibly take a class with. She is the kind of person who puts her students above everything because she truly cares. Her intercultural class wasn't hard at all, but she makes it interesting and relatable to your own life. Just a truly wonderful human being.

Debbie is an amazing human being and person, I wasn't sure if taking her class because it was an 8am but she made it so worth it, sometimes she even brought coffee and tea for everyone. She is incredibly sweet and always willing to help.

She is very sweet and caring about her students. Super understanding. He intercultural class was a series of opinion papers followed by a group project; pretty simple. Her classes seem a little scatter brained so if you're looking to get a lot out of this class then I wouldn't take it, but if you need this class for credit then DEF take her section

She's a great choice for Introverts. She will help you communicate in a way that suits your personality. In Group Comm, you don't get to pick your own group but you do get to pick your project so you won't have to spend the whole semester doing something you hate. My only complaint is that she talks a bit fast so you have to take notes fast.

Best professor I've ever had at App. I had her for public speaking, and then looked for other classes she was teaching because I wanted to take her again (unfortunately, she wasn't teaching any other classes I needed). She's so kind and makes the whole classroom feel like a family.

I've had Poulos twice and she is the best! Public speaking was made much easier because of her - she is very encouraging when people speak in front of the class, always nodding her head and affirming the speaker. She does not post lectures online so you have to go to class or have a reliable friend to give you lectures notes. Tests are easy.

I have serious difficulties with public speaking, but she is so sweet and caring that she really encouraged me to try harder! I was sick for a week and missed three classes in a row, but she didn't penalize me for it. She is a great teacher who pushes you, but pushes you in a fun and meaningful way! She is the best!!!

She requires her UCO classes to put a lot more effort into the course than she does, but she is really nice. She invites the whole class over to her house for dinner, and she brings candy, hot chocolate, etc. for the class all the time. Her class had one paper and then a huge group project that took most of the semester.

Comment:

Mrs. Poulos is absolutely amazing in every way possible. Not only does she care about students in class, but also outside of class. She is ALWAYS willing to help and really does a great way of keeping class interesting. Just show up to class, respect her and do the work (which is minimal if you just listen to her and keep up with it). She's great.
