Doug Cobbs aka Clarence Cobbs was the worst professor I've had since I started at JSRCC two years ago. Syllabus was a joke. No order or structure at all. Tests on material we didn't study. I turned in an assignment 2 minutes late and he wouldn't give me credit. Then he didn't give me credit for an assignment because he said I plagiarized it. AWFUL!

Comment:

The class wasn't terrible, but the teacher is "extra" For example if you show up to class 5 minutes late he'll stop the class and stare you down and make slick comments towards you for the rest of the semester. If you miss an assignment he wont give you a chance to turn it in even if you had a serious reason not to be able to do it, so do it.

I don't see why everyone rags on him so much. Although his tests are rather hard, everything else is easy. Show up to, do your assignments, and you will do absolutely fine. Plus he is funny!!

Although he's a tough grader, he's fair if you do the work. Great in explaining the subject. Although I made a C in his class, I though that it was fair because of what I was able to accomplish. Many think the opposite., but believe me you will learn something if you just come to class and pay attention.

Mr. Cobbs' class was a very unpleasant experience. I recommend you consider another instructor. For me, the instructions he gave for the numerous writing assignments were not clear. When I asked for clarification, his answers were trite and condescending.

Not interested in the students at all. I've tried to discuss my grade with him three times, he avoids it or makes excuses each time. He is a very discouraging professor as he calls you out in class and if you don't know the answer he makes it a point to embarrass you. He is my worst professor yet. I would NOT EVER recommend him to anyone.

TAKE A DIFFERENT TEACHER!!! The worst professor I have had at Reynolds. Lectures from powerpoint and gets off topic continuously. Late on a regular basis and barely can use the computer. 10 minutes late and you are absent. The tests have questions not covered in class or in the book. The group assignments grading is not explained clearly.

Not my favorite person in the world. But I did pretty descent in his class, only because I studied SOOO much. Attendance is SO necessary. Honestly I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone. Just read the rest of his reviews they are spot on. Avoid the class if you can.

Cobbs is late to class, doesn't give a damn about your grade, is as flexible as steel on turning in assignments late with proper documentation, stutters, thinks he's funny, you can't read whats on the board because its so sloppy, can't use technology effectively, strays off topic often, makes a huge deal out of small things. Over all worst teacher.

By far the most difficult teacher I have had. He is not very helpful and doesn't care about the students. When I took him, some of the students dropped the class because they could absolutely not get along with him.But, if you study and keep up with the homework assignments, you should be ok.I got a "B"

attendance is deff. a MUST in this class...as long as you take notes and read the textbook before tests you'll do fine. knows what he's talking about, but can be mean towards those students who dont come to class often and don't do work on time

Worst professor I encouterd in a while. He deserves to be fired.I think he's terrile and I got an A in the class, . I signed up for Bus 100 under a diffrent professor to aviod him and still got stuck with him teaching the class. So you can image my frustration when I had to put up with this idiot for 5 weeks. AVIOD HIM AT ALL COSTS!! ALL COSTS!!!!!

Mr. Cobbs is a pathetic excuse for a professor. His speech is incomprehensible, he is extremely stubborn, and he will not work with you at ALL on your grade. His knowledge of business is... well he doesn't have any! Somehow, he is still on the payroll and calls himself a professor. Save your time and money.. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
